| Clarke would be a great signing for us as he thrives on a side who offload and play on the fringes into broken field
He's also young enough and has lots more potential in him to make him an even better player and a very valuable player for many years to come
I would take Clark over Farrar given the choice even though Farrar is probably the 2nd best Aussie 9 at the minute

| Clark would be a fantastic signing and just speculating after this season he would probably cost half of what Warrington paid for him last year.

Didn't Wolves pay around £180K for him?
I would rather pay a transfer fee and get Clark on a 5 year contract than sign Farrar for 2 seasons on the money he would expect over here

| I would have been well happy with this anytime over the previous 2 seasons when Clark was on fire at Cas.
Now are his struggles this year purely down to him being unsettled and/or the way Warrington have struggled?
I really thought when Wire signed him he was going to be immense for them but it's not happened.
Also IMO Clarke was no where near as dynamic post Wembley last year and I'm still not sure whether that is because he knew he was leaving Cas when he didn't really want to go and it affected his performance...or was it because the better teams had worked him out and figured he was a 'one trick pony' and that defending the ruck a certain way negated most if not all of his threat which is mainly his running from dummy half.
He could well reignite with us but his form the last 12 months is a concern

| I heard a whisper that we had made inquiries about Josh Hodgson a couple of months back prior to Aiton's announcement that he was going to the Dragons and never believed a word of it TBH
Although since hearing of Aiton's move I do now actually believe that there was some truth in this and that we did make an attempt to get him to come home

It would have been a great signing but unfortunately so unlikely now after the season he's had over there.

I think we've made inquires about every hooker going by the sounds of things.
Can't remember it being discussed on here but during the recent Wigan match at Headingley, Brian Carney said during the match that Leeds had inquired about McIlorum and that's why Wigan offered him a new improved deal earlier in the week.

Nope. The info I had was that a £250,000 fee is agreed. But Wire can not finalise anything until they have a replacement. They originally wanted Cameron Smith as part of the deal. This is why a deal is only almost done.

Now Hodgson would be a fantastic signing. He would fit our style of play brilliantly.

Sims, Sandow, Monoghan, Gidley. Still got space on the overseas quota at Warrington.

| If we get DC i honestly think both he and us would thrive on what we'd bring each other on our part he'd be joining a team that is always there or there abouts when the trophies are given out. We are a young team in transition ,we play a fast free flowing style but can also grind and do the tough stuff.
He'd be playing off the likes of Garbutt Cuthbo and Galloway with the pace and support of our outside backs imo he'd be a perfect fit.

That's why I have doubts about him, as you say, he'd be playing off the likes of...... Where as, the forwards needs to play off....the back of a good hooker.
You need to earn the right to play the off load game. My point is that we still need a 'direct' replacement for Aiton.

In all seriousness of all the names that are being speculated on, Clarke would be IMO probably the most satisfying for his longevity.
Only perceptions of course, but I also think he would slot into the prevailing team ethos better than any other. However, as others have said there are concerns about his box of tricks being limited to scoots.
Aiton has been a (surprising) revelation this season with his (surprising) elevation to being 'best hooker in SL' this season

In summary, Rob Burrow MK11 but can defend up the middle

| He clearly doesn't look happy at Warrington .if he wants to come here and we can arrange it I would certainly try. At his age, English ,in a position we need..it's a no brainer.
Yes he hasn't hit the form of his Cas days bit that could be for many different reasons.

To be honest....I'd settle for a Burrow that 'can defend up the middle' ....a new Buderus would be better of course, but how realistic is it to get exactly what we need.

Totally agree.
For DC to work there would need to be a shift in how the whole team works together. Is that a trade off worth taking? That's one for the coaches.

Of all the names mentioned he is the one I'd least like to see playing for us. Of any of his attributes the only thing I reckon we would welcome is his aggressive defence. He offers no running threat, no creativity and he's obviously a suspension liability. DC would be best bet long term although I would take the second best hooker in the world as a consolation.

| Frankly it's vital that Leeds bring in someone like Clark(e) to replace the soon to be departing Rob Burrow(s), Danny Maguire, and Kylie Lululeiluai as someone whose name the fans can't spell correctly.
Too many recent Leeds signings have been much too easy to get right - Briscoe, Moon even Cuthbertson. Time for change.

| Very Interesting story regarding Leeds and Farah on the Sunday Triple M NRL podcast.
For the those who don't know Triple M is the major Radio station with the NRL rights.
If you are interested listen to round 25 hour 3 from the start for the full story. The Leeds bit is at 14 mins 5 seconds in.
I advise listening from the start. Leeds want/wanted Farah as the Marquee player. GH constistanly says we will not be using it so not quite sure what or who to believe.

| I'd take that with a pinch of salt. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Leeds enquired into Farah. However, I would be incredibly surprised if GH ever uses the marquee allowance. Its exactly what the Leeds ethos is not about. Its more likely that a radio station has made 2+2=5, particularly with the help of Farah's agent.
I wouldn't be all that surprised if Leeds paid a fee for Clark, but £250k seems a lot.
