Well, there you go then. So having four GF winners medals proves not a thing internationally.

Mcguire is no good at international level, regardless of how well he responds within the Leeds club environment. It's no big deal. Just accept it. Move on. Think of England.'" Oh, I thought I was reading what we're usually being told about Sinfield. Except after yesterday you don't have that in your ammunition.
And by the way sunbeam, I have you and the sad Wigan fans posting on here sussed. Don't try and dress this bile up as anything other than what it is.
All season long you've had little opportunity to get your digs in about our players because, frankly, they've been vastly superior to yours (and, as always, vastly superior to the Wigan lot).
So this is a perfect opportunity for you to get the knives. Out. This is nothing to do with being an England fan. You let your guard slip with your pathetic comment about taking joy in yesterday. This is just an opportunity for you to finally stick the boot into the Leeds players and, frankly, you're pathetic. This is an England team. The domestic season is over.
We understand that our players aren't good enough. We get told all the time on here. But here's the thing. If the rest of the shower in this league could offer us a challenge and produce some home grown players every now and again then England wouldn't have to rely so heavily on our lads.
I have commented on here that McGuire was terrible yesterday. I have no club bias when assessing England because I am an England fan. I take no pleasure from player X playing badly for England because they're playing for Eng;land.
Sadly that seems too complicated a concept for the likes of you and the pathetic Wigan fans who have surfaced on here.

I don't remember ever saying anything negative about Sinfield? I mean, ever? Other than he whinges at refs, which he is of course entitled to do as your capitan.

I didn't take any joy in yesterday (well, except in the second half, which I thoroughly enjoyed). I'm taking joy - as I confessed - in a Leeds player being vilified for yesterday given that this time last year it was Wello who was taking the crap - from your lot, as well. If you cannot appreciate the difference between what I actually wrote and your suggestion then there is little hope for you.

You said that, mate, not me. I said Mcguire isn't good enough. I haven't criticised any other Leeds players. So I'd swallow your bile back again because I'm not the person you think you're having a go at.

| FFS Danny McGuire has a poor performance implementing a game plan that simply wasn’t working and all of a sudden he’s the spawn of the Devil.
Is anyone seriously suggesting that England lost because of Danny McGuire? If he had not been in the starting line up would it have made a whole load of difference?
‘Scapegoat’ and ‘whipping boy’ spring to mind here.

It might have made a difference, yes, if the replacement had been defensively stronger and prepared/able to play a good game.

Mmm. Indeed. My point about Wello last year and my vicarious pleasure at seeing a Leeds player get it in the neck for a change. (But I have to confess I'm getting bored with that now; the novelty is wearing off)

| McGuire played like a lost puppy again. He's a confidence player and it really shows against Aus IMO - he looks to be one of the most overawed players out there. He needs to show far more composure at international level. To be frank I think he suffers from the same problem as most of our halfbacks - we play a far, far too unstructured game, and it really shows when we face better teams.
To be fair though, the right side defence for England was an absolute shambles for an entire half. You can blame McGuire, Smith and Briscoe, but watch all the Aussie tries - not a single English forward on the right side of the field. If anybody - and I mean anybody - tried to defend 3 against 5 on the left against Lockyer, Slater and Inglis they will be put through the cleaners. England have to learn that the sliding defence is absolutely hopeless against a team which like Australia has big fast outside backs and can move the ball quickly.

Yep, we got carried away trying to batter the Aussie forwards in the middle and forgot about helping out the backs in defence, sometimes leaving half the field for 3 players to defend.

| Brisbane, top post lad, exactly my thoughts on the issue. The Aussies move the ball right to left so quickly and smoothly that even 5 on 5 is hard to defend against. The Lockyer try was so well executed it was almost robotic. Every pass was just where the receiver wanted it.

| The really sad thing is that nothing the Aussies did for a try was the result of anything other than having evasive quick runners on the end of well-timed passes where everyone had an idea of what was going to happen and where they needed to be. Whereas when England pass the ball wide its generally excrutiatingly slow and everything is telegraphed.

Its not just the distribution though is it, we had no set plays no dummy runners and no shape in attack, we looked like a team who had never played together before and Australia looked like they had actually done a bit of training and knew what they were doing, its been the same for quite a few years now.

Bet you're not getting bored. Bet you spend the rest of the week on here talking cobblers.
F*** off to the VirtuaL terrace with all the other small town provinvial losers whose only pleasure is frothing over individual performances from our international side. One year we will dissapoint all those pratts and win. They won't know what to do with themselves.

Leeds fans trying to defend their players for their embarassing display at the weekend.
If thats the best Lee Smith can do, im glad hes going to union.
Did peacock play?
McGuire LOL
If we had started with Westwood instead of Peacock, Eastmond instead of mcGuire and a cardboard cut out instead of Lee Smith, we would have beat the aussies.

Spot on and down to the lack of structure you mentioned earlier. At times it's too obvious what's going to happen and there's a lack of runners and options. That's all too easy to defend against.
