Of the players on the pitch today, Smith signed 3 of them. Years of mismanagement before Smith's arrival has caused this.

he is the coach.
he coaches them. allegedly.

I agree that he would benefit from some experience being put around him. Many have said that from the start.

They asked if one thing could change what would it be. I’d like that to be enough squad depth to avoid square pegs in round holes, and for smith to stop persevering with it. Martin has tried his socks off all season but he’s not a centre or a half. Likewise what good does it do Morgan Gannon to get skipped round by Wardle repeatedly?

Im not sure we had many options with how the squad is? That needs rectifying wether you rate Smith or not

Well that was basically a SL team against a Championship team.
Absolutely clueless.
Hooley really is championship level.
Sinfield is just not ready yet.
Oledski continued his poor form this season. Looks to have gone a bit soft. He needs a rest this off season.
Walters was poor as well.
Newman had a shocker and when we're struggling, he's a liability.
Gannon was completely anonymous and is never a half back in a million years.
I think we are probably looking for a 9, because sadly, neither of them give us any dynamism from DH.
Fusitua probably our best player, but he'll be out injured next week.
As I've kept saying, 9th / 10th in the table is where we deserve to finish.

Gannon needs next year to be purely about learning how to play in the pack add ons like 'seeing it from a halves perspective' are not for this step of his development. Throw that project (along with short kick offs, no line speed and no kick pressure) in the bin.

Roberts could have played. Tbh back rows in the centre has annoyed me all year.
