Unprovoked attacks should carry bans but sorry the aggresor on Friday got what he deserved and for him to get off scott free because he was not capable of putting up a show once Peacock was stood up should not render him sin binning sufficient . Peacock was dealt with by Thaler and that should be the end , of course the RL Want to ban Peacock , i suggest they ban Thaler as well because his recent performances have been on a par with James Child .

I think all the times JP gets smacked in the face and doesn't react should add up as credits that he can spend when some c**k stiff arms him and head butts him while he's lying on the ground. The fact that Leeds got the penalty and that both players had 10 minutes and both showed each other respect after the game finished should really be the end of it. I don't want to see punches thrown at every tackle but then neither will coaches - 12 men on the pitch is not ideal. tvoc is right sometimes about the sanitisation of the game going too far.

Actually, I think it a little unfair to suggest the press office wrote the statement. There's plenty of big words and some well crafted sentences in there and I think Hardaker needed the six or seven days between the (alleged) offence and his heartfelt apology to put it together.
