I didn't see the Wigan wakey game last week but hope this cats v wakey first half is an indication of a poor Wigan (with a few out too) with how close they were.

Wigan’s youngsters looked brilliant last week. But they are a club who have faith in their players. That Byrne looked like he had been playing for years, and better than any of our current props. Age no barrier to position, scrum half too.

Lams comments today should be seen as an embarrassing dig at our club, and hopefully some posters on here too.

Let’s not forget how many players Wigan have missing for the game.

That no matter how many players they have injured, he has faith in the youngsters to fill. Said he would not want to make desperation signings for rest of year to cover.

I never thought I’d say or think it, but I’m starting to like Wigan.

Other than the bottle job on the red card and an obvious forward pass miss, I think both games today were reffed to a more consistent standard, the new 6 more rule was barely noticeable. Let's hope they continue with this approach tomorrow.

The number of kids Wigan bring thru and the quality of them is incredible and a great credit to them.

We can all knock Wigan but its a fantastic RL club and fantastic RL town.

If only every club put the time, effort and patience into young players as Wigan, Leeds and Saints the game would be in a better position.

No surprise we’re the only teams that have been winning at old Trafford.

It was originally an infected knee after his operation.He did target Boxing day.I do know someone who also had an infected knee after a op.It was nearly 12 months later before he could run properly.

Looking forward to seeing hoe Holroyd goes (I thought we didn’t play our young uns)



That Bench seems way too light, wonder whats up with Ava?

Starting 13 looks more promising, but for the damn fullback, must be better there.

Bench really light though, hopefully will go more mobile that the case.

Im not sure who we’ve got that can go at full back instead of Handley? Sutcliffe has played there and with not much success.

But Handley is as bad as you can get, if you are looking for someone reading the game, as the fullbacks should be. Surely Newman would be better. Handley could play centre to replace, and do the things that suit him, run it in.
