Needs to protect the ball better and needs more fitness, but he’ll go well.
Whoever said he doesn’t look big enough for the front row has got him confused with someone else! He’s a unit.
Impressed with the 10 minute cameo from Edwards and Gannon as well, but doubt they’ll get much game time tbh.

Id definitely give Broadbent a run at centre if Newman isn't ready for the start of the year. Didn't look out of place at centre or fullback and was probably our best on park. Bodene had a very good game too. He should get a bench spot for game 1. Deserves it on todays performance.

At the end of the day it was an average trial game. Plenty of errors and penalties and two teams that on paper should have been mismatched. Leeds defensive structure looked good which was a major positive for me. They scored two tries down Hall/Tindalls wing but apart from that, didnt really create much. Even though we didn't execute very well either I liked our set up plays in their 20 as well. With our first choice halves playing and some more decisive hole runners we will break a lot of teams down with the spaces we created today. Having a centre at 6 and a ball running 6 at 7 didn't really help us do anything today though and after Handley went off we struggled to isolate the outside defender.

I am not a medical genius but i think if it is medial then it may well be alot longer than 2 months

Depends if its torn. If it's just strained could be back in a couple of weeks.

Koni and Liam Sutcliffe will be centres week 1 i wouldve thought. Jack did himself a lot of good again today tho.

Yeah, I reckon that's the way Agar will go too. At least Broadbent put himself into serious contention today though. It can only benefit Leeds moving forward.

If Handley and Gale miss out do you reckon Eastmond and Myler at HB with Broadbent to FB and L.Briscoe on the wing?

Either that or Myler to FB, Boradbent to Centre, Sutcliffe and Eastmond in the halves two Bisoces on the wings. Agar mention Ash has trained a lot at full back in pre season.

Shame about Handley, looked real nasty at the time, hopefully not too serious. Thats the risk of these games unfortunately.

Agree with all points although i thought King looked very raw but good go forward but needs to work on ball control.Far too early to for Edwards and Gannon but look good prospects.

Thought it was very positive overall, and you'd have thought we would be happier than Hudds in terms of the team we put out.

Broadbent looks the real deal, and seems ready for Superleague. I actually thought Dwyer made a massive difference when he came on. Leeming needs a big year to earn a new deal IMO. I think he's solid without setting the world alight.

King looks good to me. Unsurprising that he's a bit raw, but he's powerful. New conditions and having not played for a long time go a way in explaining the ball control issues.

It's nice seeing a Leeds team show a bit of aggression, it's not been a big part of our game since Peacock/Ablett left, and I think we need it when playing the likes of Wigan/Saints.

No meant Ablett. He was smart about it and made sure he didn't throw a punch, but he was aggressive.

Think of have he grabbed Lee Briers by the scruff of the neck in the cc final! He massively wound up other teams, but managed to control it when it was needed.
