how can an international success be not as good as an international failure?'"
Yes point proven, Burrow has not backed it up 1 series wonder, lets hope Sinfield does not go the same way.
Also where have i said Locky is an International success? I said he has never let his country down when he has played unlike the others quoted, and that his game is more suited to International rugby, if anything he raises his game, or has in the past where as the others have to a man choked on more than one occasion.
I continue to be stunned by the words you lot try to put into my mouth!

Rickey Bibey doesnt have a good few medals, he has a couple,
and S'OL has none, but apparently this shows his winning mentality and mental toughness compared to players who have actually won something
Like Danny Mcguire who doesnt have a winning mentality and mental toughness yet has been outstanding in winning the last three grand finals,

So lets get this straight, O'Loughlin is neither an international success nor an international failure but he has 'never let his country down', which is apparently a better contribution than Rob Burrow, Danny Mcguire, Leon Pryce etc etc
Rob Burrow is an international failure, because although he has been man of the series against the NZ'ers he then had a poor world cup, along with every other English player out there, including S'OL who despite this has the mental strength needed to be succesful, apart from the fact he has never tasted any sort of success at either club or country level

| O'Loughlin has played pretty well for GB when I've seen him play. He's one of a number of players who IMO plays to his best for GB/England, unlike far too many players. Unfortunately, as a Leeds fan I'd say McGuire is in the opposite category. I hope he gets the chance to prove me wrong though.

| Sinfield
Great that he carried his form over to the big stage, great performance. Showed Roby how to do it with really assured passing and decision making.
If we can find the right position for him, which I think Smith may have done, he will be a big asset to the team. Didn't shy away from the rough stuff either.
Also Ellis Absolutely immense.

I think its the first time Ive seen Sinfield actually getting involved with a bit of niggle, good to see in the international arena IMO

There's a difference between being part of a successful team, and being a key member of a successful team. One is part of the squad and does his job. The other actually has a significant say in how the result is achieved.
Equal top try scorer in GFs. Two assists in this years GF alone. I'd say he falls into the latter category as a game breaker.
It doesn't mean that he's able to translate that to the international scene, or that other players are able to play on his wavelength, but it sets him apart from the Ricky Bibey's of this world

Let me remind you what you claimed but you tend to get a bit sketchy and, if you don't mind me saying, incoherent in the points you're making.
Man of the match performances
So, you've given us an example of one in the final dead rubber game when the series was settled.
Any more?

| Surely if Todd Flanders got 2 MOM in the series he'd have been man of the series.

| From that 1st test report it sounds like Sinfield was first choice and S'OL got a late call up due to Sinfield being Ill.

Is that the same lad who isn't good enough for England? Me thinks it is.
