I have heard some vague mutterings on the subject, but (and I acknowledge that I don't read every thread on here) by far the greatest fuss I have ever seen made on the subject of Leeds' luck in Cup draws is being made by you, on this thread.

In a spirit of participation: Personally I don't worry too much about the effects of "luck" in random processes - you get a random outcome each time. Random chance is no great observer of "justice" or "fairness". I might be moderatley interested in a serious attempt to determine whether Leeds were more or less lucky than would be predicted by a purely random draw (in terms of the team they face) - taking into account the number of lower league sides in each draw etc. But not that interested. The Cup is usually won by a team that beats what's put in front of it 5 times in a row. That Leeds haven't managed that in 14 years is a bigger disappointment than whatever the draw has thrown up.

You could argue that it isn't a random process, due to conspiracy theory and all that. But my tinfoil hat is in the wash.

Yes they have, that's why people have mentioned "only one non SL club in the last 13,14,15, etc. ties. Only you've gone as far back as you have. And nobody said Leeds have consistently had that run, just that is what it was at this present period. I'm sure you could go back in any clubs period and find a good few years of cup draws and a bad few years.

No, its only a fix when Wigan draw teams worse than them. Keep up!

Yeah and we would've 100% genuinely meant it.......we would've even made flags too highlighting this injustice at said game. You can't be anymore serious than to get flags involved.

ATEOTD it's all irrelevant, we play who we play. The fact we're playing a Championship team in the next round may be seen as easy but we've just beaten the only team to have previously beaten us this season which wasn't so easy.

I only wish that the Leeds players are as complacent as the posts on this MB. Everyone is expecting a stroll in the park and a score to match the cricket scores next door. Let's hope this complacency is infectious. You never know in a 80 minute game of rugby. An injury to a key player, a sin-binning or sending off. One thing's for sure the Leigh players and fans are going to enjoy a fantastic game of Rugby League. It's going to be brilliant and the fans are going to make the Leigh players proud to be part of our adventure back to the big time. I hope your ground is fully covered. We are used to a modern state of the art stadium in Leigh. :O)

And I bet if you tossed a coin 71 times you'd get similar results with around 65% on heads or tails and 35% on tails or heads.
