I'm happy to do the spreadsheet again once the scoring system is established. At the time I didn't think the format change would help and doubt I feel any different now.

Yes, that's Salford to win the GF thanks to Marwan, and to add to that when someone said that the Leeds players in the Autumn of their careers will deliver the GF this season his response....

Suggest something simple like:
1 point for correct placing at and of 23 rounds
2 points for correct placing top 4. Bonus point if all top 4 correct
1 point for each correct team from middle 8's
4 points for correct challenge cup winner
5 points for correct Grand Final winner.
Total max points 34

It's tricky, but what I would suggest is the "usual" scoring system for the selections after 23 rounds (ie. 0 points for getting the selection correct, 3 points for being 3 positions out etc.)

Then MINUS two points for each of the top 4 correctly positioned (MINUS one point for getting a top 4 team right but in the wrong position), MINUS one point for each of the "returning to SL" teams correctly identified, and MINUS three points for each of the GF and CC winners.

Lowest score wins. (I'll be nowhere near.)

Looking at the predictions I'd say Warrington were the 'best' rated. Most had them top or top 2. No one had them outside the top 4.

Leeds made a mockery of a few who put them 6th.

A few of us placed too much hope In Salford and underestimated Cas achieving despite their losses.

Cannot remember if I entered this time....but it will be embarrassing if I did.

This has been the Vulcan's final flying season (final Vulcan - indeed final four jet engined all British design and build - flight was in fact today (Wed) so I'll shortly be getting some of my spare time back again. This season's rugby records are basically still on paper so already got a job on.

First off while I get my head around how to work in the post Round 23 elements I thought we could have a look at the table in the form it has follwed in the past: so results as at Round 23 only:

1) All entries must contain 12 unique and/or clearly identifiable teams

2) Scoring System: Correct position scores 0, 1 away from correct position scores 1, 2 away scores 2 etc

The aim is to achieve the lowest score. Tie-Break - In order of most correct positions (which is shown in brackets on the table) - then in date order of entry if still tied.

Any mistakes highlighted will be corrected once checked.
