| Helen Skelton is always up for a challenge. Maybe she should play in the halves for Wire next week. She'd probably do a lot better than her husband.
Wire were rudderless tonight. Leeds made hard work of it at times but they were streaks ahead of Warrington.

| Fair play to Wire they never gave up but i thought it should have been over by H/T both Watkins and Hardaker ignored Briscoe out wide which cost certain scores and then Mcguire threw a wild pass into touch when Watkins and Briscoe were free again.
I thought our defence in our own 20m was very good and Mags looks fitter than he has done for a while.
Aiton looked sharp at DH and defended strong.
On the flip side some poor discipline at times ,markers not quick enough and Kylie to me looked a shadow of his former self.
Singleton had little impact but imo should have had longer minutes to get into the game ,Hall had a mare with kicks and blocked Hardaker from defending a kick as did Mcguire which i think was poor communication all round.
Plenty of positives and a win is a win but at the same timne stacks to work on especially with the ball.

I thought his defence was very weak, he got shrugged off too often and it was him who Ben Westwood went over the top of for his try. He looks very small out there.

I thought he stuck like a lympit but have recorded the game so wil watch it again.
As for Westwoods try Ward and Hardaker were also in the tackle so until i watch it again i think its harsh to put it down to just Aiton.

| I think it was Anthony England who bumped Aiton of a couple of times and obviously when westwood crawled over the line.

| Just to add i also thought we moved the ball pretty well both left and right in the first halfeven if the odd pass wasnt the best so plenty of potential as we al knew.

| I think Singleton only got about 15 minutes on the pitch and a lot of that was when we were under pressure on our own line around the hour mark.He was under used IMO, he should be getting the kind of minutes afforded to Kylie tonight but its early days and im sure he will play a bigger role as the season wears on.
Hardaker was superb and indeed our whole three quarter line is going to take some stopping this year.Hopefully the Sinfield injury isnt too bad.

| A late starter to SL then but goes to show especially if he continues to have a positive impact theta are players in the lower Leagues if yer prepared to look.
JP is just a one off freak a complete machine but again we have to start sharing his work load imo.

| I actually thought it was a pretty poor performance. The goal line defence was good, apart from the Westwood try, and we showed some good touches with the ball but they were few and far between.
I thought we struggled at the ruck and the speed of the Warrington play the ball was a problem, they made it into our half almost every time they had the ball, but thankfully their halves (Myler in particular) were terrible overall.
Individually, Hardaker, Peacock, Watkins were excellent, and Ward looked decent after such a long lay off. The rest were average to disappointing IMO. The lack of go forward at times is a concern for me also.
Next week I'd start Singleton again, although he was shocking today, Kyle was also pretty terrible too. I'm still not convinced by Clarkson and don't think he'll ever be good enough for a top SL side, and I'd consider moving Delaney there (as he never passes the ball) and starting Ward on the right with Sutcliffe or Achurch on the bench

I think that's a bit harsh mate Wire got us into the grind and even with injuries they are a decent team to be fair and were always gonna be better than last week.
I think there are plenty of positives but also stacks to work on and improve.

| Pretty good for a Leeds regular season performance. Hardaker and Briscoe superb. Peacock immense. Thought Ward looked good and sharp considering all that time out. Despite being on the wrong end of all the decisions in the second half, team kept discipline well, which isn't always the case. Other than that it was hard work and not much flair. McGuire had a bit of a shocker on attack, too many wrong decisions killing play.

Would agree with your summary apart from it being a poor performance.I think we were only a couple of simple passes away from making it a comfortable night, and although Wire had loads of ball on our line i cant recall all that many chances they really should have scored themselves.I would say 7/10 and a good result against a team who will still be right in the mix come the play offs.

| I thought it was a decent effort against a good side so early in the season. Hardaker, Briscoe and Peacock were immense. We were good value for the win and should have won by more really.
I loved Ward's contribution and was great to see him back. Kylie doesn't look to have much left in the tank and I wouldn't be surprised to him only play 20ish games this year even when fully fit. It's all about rotation for me now. BJB, achurch and sutcliffe will all need minutes-as will JJB and kirke when fit. Hopefully Mac will find ways to share the workload around.
Any news on Sinfield?

Sounds about right to me. Except I'd probably play ward down the right and Delaney centrally. Not the worst time of year to miss him I guess

I would agree with most of that. However, I would say our defense at times was actually superb, not just good, Infact on some occasions I would say amazing. The two try's conceded will be disappointing, as they were both very soft, and both down to individuals.
Ward was a big plus, and will be great to see his contribution to this side this year. He changed the momentum as soon as he came on.
Hall looks poor, and should be under threat from BJB. Burrow for me is far too predictable when he does pass. It just didn't work for McGuire, he kept trying but things didn't work for him.
I thought as a whole the forwards worked well. I wouldn't say any of them were poor. Infact despite Peacocks stats, I thought it was one of the few games, where others tried to take the workload.

Pretty much agree with all of this although I thought both our hookers were second best. Wire seemed to make a lot of ground almost every set before foundering on some great goal line defence. Really good to see Ward back and better still he didn't really look as if he'd been out.
We should really have won by more, a pity Sinfield's effort hit the post because that would have sealed it and I think wire might have thrown the towel in had it done so. I'm relieved Briers has retired, not hard to imagine them pinching that game had he been playing.
Overall, not bad and I did enjoy watching it.

| we looked good attacking the fringes but we were battered down the middle. wire punched holes in us all night with ease. kylie was terrible, how far has he fallen? and i fail to see what bailey brings. he lost EVERY collision in attack and defence.
plus points i thought the whole back 7 were outstanding and big wraps for ward who looked really good after so long out.
