As I said earlier, I really hope we get Peter Taylor. The best man for job if the job is getting promoted in the Football League. As I said, 4 promotions with Gillingham, Brighton and Hull, and now look at the job with Wycombe. He would be the perfect appointment

Well, that news about the Chief sure puts the weekends events in perspective. Goes without saying that I wish him all the best.
As for Gary, I was one of those saying stick with him, but I can totally understand why he's gone. If we'd have lost 5 on the bounce due to 30 yard wonder strikes and individual mistakes then I would have said it was a mistake, but all season long we've been bad from set pieces and things seem to be going from bad to worse in that respect. Defending at set pieces should be relatively simple, and it's down to the manager and coaches to drill this into them. They didn't, and they've paid the price, simple.
The new man? I'd say Boothroyd, but I think it'll be Poyet.

Many credited him as the brains behind the good form Wise's team displayed, and he does know most of the players. the disruption would be minimal. I do think we need some experience to get us out of the mess we are in.
We are in a bad position, but with the resources at our disposure, there is no reason why a good run couldn't see us in the automatic promotion places come the end of the season. |

Just think Poyet is more suited to being a number 2. If he came back as that then I'd be happy for him to be doing that job but don't think he's the right man to be number 1 just yet. Wouldn't be surprised at all though if he's appointed |
