The kind of revolution under Murray is what is needed now - something needs to change the current culture at the club. We might not get a Graham Murray, we would have appoint Bennett/Bellamy, but we need a leader who isn't going to look over his shoulder at the glory days.

Wane would shake things up but he plays a very negative style of rugby that saw crowds disappear whilst he was coach. Its a trade off but of the English coaches he is probably the best given the situation the club finds itself in

but he would strip it back to basics and make it work. on a short term deal, say 18 months, he would leave it a far better team than it is now.
without harris that team of Murray's would have been the same as wanes would be

I disagree - he had Godden and Blackmore - two high quality centres and a pack that scared the living daylights out of the opposition.

The crowds have already started disappearing for Leeds. Wonder how many who comment on here actually go? A winning team, however dull, would bring some back.

Agreed but I am not convinced the style rugby Wane plays will sustain the growth in crowds even if they are winning - Wigan won plenty under him but the crowds lost interest due to the style of play. Hopefully he has changed his philosophy?

To be fair, as good as some of the players in that team were, our record without Harris in that period was dreadful, as close to a one man team as you will see.

Fair point - he was a pivotal player in the way Murray set his side up. That move from FB to half mid-way through the game was significant.

Harris was a once in a lifetime player. Probably the bests I’ve seen, along with Tomkins.
However was some real quality around him, and definitely not a one man team. The current squad is 10x worse . Huge job..!

The thing is the squad Murray took over wasn't considered that great at the time. Yes in retrospect the pack was brutal but... Fleary, Tony Farrell, Andy Hay, Ryan Sheridan - there were a lot of players contemporarily considered journeymen right up until Murray got his hands on them. That's the sort of impact which it'd be a dream for a new coach to have.

The most frustrating thing about this is that this failure hasn't just started this season, it's been on going for years. The club for years has hidden behind mediocrity and steadying the ship, pretending that it's progress towards competing again. The fact we went into another season with a stop gap manager like Agar just shows where our ambition is, and it's fighting relegation.

I really struggle to see why we would trust the men who have got us into this situation, to get us out of it. The signings and managerial appointments have been consistently terrible for years now. The overhaul that is needed is humongous, and that's because of terrible leadership at the top. I don't trust them.

GH is not the talent spotter he was he ought to retire but no way ever will he he is too busy using the rhinos to prosper himself his family and friends.
This is the crux of the matter no way will he bring an influential manager in to point out the problem.
(Like Furner did)
GH has been immense for Leeds and I for one am eternally grateful but let’s now let someone else take total charge and focus on the rugby not the corporate.
