| Quote ="Dave Heron's Moustache"All depends on what was on the table. He might have been given no choice. One possible scenario is that Leeds thought Burgess was the better long term option and made Scruton an offer lower than one they already knew he had from the Bulls. If he goes, fine, if he stays they get a good player on reasonable money.
As I said that's one scenario. There are many ways these things can play out, and even the facts can't tell you intentions of those involved. I could probably be confident in saying thought that the Bulls don't have silly money to splash around so my guess is Leeds could have matched their offer. In that case I can't see Scrutes moving from the Champions (where he was a first team regular and GF winner) to, well, the Bulls? But then again you can always spin these things the way you want.'"
That's fair enough but GH tabled what offer he thought was best and scrutes is now in the bottom 3!!

| He must have worked hard to bulk up from centre to prop forward in 12 months.
I can only remember Harvey Howard and Ruben Wiki making that move and certainly not in such a short space of time.

| He's had better games this year really, but you get the general idea about him.
He's a real handful, has a great offload, and tackles well. He'll only get better aswel.

I agree and with full time coaching and conditioning he could well prove to be a cracking find!!

Some people on this forum want a team full of individual superstars. No one seems to appreciate the team anymore and just focus on the efforts of individuals allowing the likes of Kyle Amor (an unproven super league player as yet) be rated above Ryan Bailey the three times super league champion.
However I’m not telling people what their should appreciate because at the end of the day we all like the greatest game on earth in our own little way. Some of us just know it better!

I know Bailey is a 3 times champio - however having watched Kyle Amor last night - I have to say Amor seemed to do more in the time he was playing that you usually see Bailey when he plays - for a big guy Bailey doesnt seem to have the impact on the field I feel he should - thats just my opinion

| Your opinion is valid. I suspect Bailey would look a tad better in NL rugby.
I think Bailey has some big weaknesses in his game, but when it comes to the crunch he's been in the GF three times, which suggests that coaches have a lot of faith in him at the pointy end of the season.

true - however last years GF you didn;t really notice him did you - - perhaps he needs a new challenge else where although as he;s not out of contract until next year - I think we will still have him for another year - having said that if the likes of AMor & Pitts do really well - it may make him work harder & be more productive especially if he is playing for a new contract - we will see

He was never man of the match.
I knwo sky gave it to him, but I dont know how.
The lad looked good in the collission and workmanlike, and I look forward to how he progresses in a fulltime environment.
But on the night there were better performances on the field. His fellow prop Edmundson for a start had a much better game.

| i watched the game. Not sure if he is a prop at the moment tbh. Great engine and work rate going forward, which I think won him the MOM. He did 25 mins from kick off followed by about 30mins 2nd half. He looked to take it up every set.
He might get away with playing prop in that division but he looks a bit light from SL, more like a mobile second rower. His frame is almost diskin like only diskin has a bit more bulk.
Still suppose he's got another season to fill out like Kirke managed.

Were you watching the right player?
I actually could see where youwere coming from on your first part, but like Diskin? With Diskin more bulk?
He was twice the size of Diskin, much bigger.

| The first thing he needs to work on is his play the ball that was Palea'asina like for 90% of the game. I know it's done for a reason but you only have to get pulled once for it to be a potential game loser.
Not a big problem at this point and by the end of the game he was getting his foot on it a bit more.
He didn't stand out quite as much last night and it's easy to see why. What's with the haircut? Bad times.

Other than the hair cut he's gonna be more of a target now especially after his headline grabbing performances and now his move to us.
