Mentally and skill wise, yes. Physically, not at all. He isn't big, isn't fast, isn't particularly agile, quick of the mark, and only has good strength (for his size) and stamina.

Apart from captaining his side to 4 Grand Final wins, winning both the Lance Todd and Harry Sunderland trophies, having terrific games against Australia and New Zealand in consecutive weeks, being arguably the best goalkicker this country has seen over at least the past decade or so (especially from the touchline) and being a tackling machine, what has he ever done really???

Excellent performance last night from him and indeed went some way to proving me wrong, happy yo say it, but he has much to do to prove me wrong. He now has to kick on and do it next week and in the next series in which he plays.

Burrows has produced for 1 series and done nothing prior to it or since, it is now up to Sinfield after all the false dawns to truly establish himself as an International player.

Presuming you go to Rhino's games, you see Sinfield alot more than I do, yet I know that the Sinfield we see in Super League hasn't been seen at International level. Do you agree?

If you do then you are agreeing with jonh, and so there isn't much point arguing, if you don't then I think you might be in the minority mate.

I don't get this, surely bitterness would be "Sinfield is terrible" even after a good performance. When actually all Jonh is saying is that Sinfield had a good game, and know he needs to put on a good display to cement himself as an international player.

That Sinfield hasnt shown his qualities at International level up until this year isnt in question. Whether thats Sinfields fault or the coaches is debateable. Personally I think its a bit of both.

But for jonh to come along and take obvious delight in attempting to slag off a player like Sinfield is laughable. He would have a point if he came on and said he didnt think Sinfield had performed at international level and tactically would rather have a backrower like O'Loughlin.
But he didnt. He said Sinfield wasnt up to International level and lacked mental strength.
Which is bo11ocks.
It would be akin to going on the Warrington board and saying that Morley is a puff who cant take a big hit and wimps out whenever things get tough simply because he's had a bad few games.

Maybe he was looking for reasons as to why we haven't seen the best of Sinfield, you don't just turn up to Rugby games and be off your best after having a good season. Form just doesn't work like that in my experience
