| Extremely unlikely we will make the playoff, obviously the Salford loss was a body blow. Frustrating, as we should have won that game.

| Got to love the footage of Arthur's team talk on the behind the scenes footage. Super intense but very calm. I'd want to play for him. Pretty sure they've had to edit the swearing.

| Quote ="leeds owl"Maybe we’ve not had the required quality coming through the system ? There has been a lot of false dawns with youngsters coming through touted as heirs to the throne of the golden generation. From Baldwinson to Lilley, walker to Tindall, and even Cameron Smith if we’re being honest, they’ve just not been good enough. If they’re not good enough or tough enough it’s hard to blame the club for not nurturing them. In comparison to the quality that has come through the Saints and Wigan systems over the last 7 or 8 years it’s not hard to see why our youngsters haven’t given us a springboard to success. Those two clubs have also added top quality signings from down under to elevate them even further above us. If we’re missing Ellery Hanley’s and Jason Robinson’s on our own doorstep that’s a different kettle of fish, but I don’t think there’s been a lax attitude to youth development at Headingley. I think the poor overseas signing have excaserbated the lack of quality coming through the system.'"
Think we’ve also been incredibly unlucky.
Walker was quality and winning a grand finals aged 17-18. Repeated, severe Injury took most of then promise away.
Newman and Holroyd been absolutely blighted too.
Then not to mention poor Stevie Ward. Captain and was the figurehead to take club forwards……

| Ward will be the biggest "What if" for a generation. Everything we wanted but cruelly robbed of a career and even more cruelly still suffering from the after effects to this day.

What happened is so cruel all round. Worth remembering when we are all fed up with losing a game of RL!

Cats have been poor all season and still struggling KR made them look like a championship team. Think we will put a score on them Friday and we are two points behind and points difference greatly improved. I they play Wigan at home and Salford away after that and don’t see a win coming there either. If we beat London and Hull and we then find ourselves two points clear of them with two games to go anything can happen we might get Holroyd and Mick back last two games. We have beaten Wigan given Wire a run for there money and threw a winning lead away at Salford and Hull KR there’s still plenty to play for. As Arthur said plenty will prefer Leeds not to be in the mix season end ?

| We have to score 4 more points in 5 games than one of the three sides on 26 points, and at least a point more than Leigh at the same time. Our points difference isn't great so we might even have to score more points than that. To have a shot we'll probably have to win at least four games as the worst of the teams 4 points ahead of us would only need to win 2 in the same time. If we don't win by much we'd likely have to win all five games to sneak in.
Of our remaining games we should beat Cats, London and Hull. We then play Wigan and KR, both away from home at a point when they'll be gearing up for play offs - the League Leadership might still be up for grabs for one or both as well.
The fact is that even though we're playing better under Arthur we've won 2 and lost 3. We look a better coached side but the fundamental problems of an undersized pack and lack of points still remain. Its not mathematically impossible yet, but it might be by the time we get to the last two games, even if we win the three beforehand.

| The way Catalans and Saints are playing, it is not inconceivable that both could drop out of the top 6. It isn’t likely but still possible that Leeds or Leigh could sneak in. Salford could also be vulnerable. I’m not running down to the bookies but stranger things have happened.

Cats have got Hull and London to finish their season.
i do think had we beat Salford we would make the playoffs.

We aren't a million miles off. Particularly with Farmer Arthur now signed up. 2025 will be a much better season

| Four wins, maybe even three gets us in I think. While I'd love to see us rise like a Phoenix from the ashes and win the whole thing, for the greater good of the club it probably needs to play out the hard way. London and Hull in the next two matches should be comfortable wins, but we know how those type of fixtures went when Arthur wasn't at the helm. Winning those two games in a professional manner and then nailing performances ( not necessarily wins) against KR and the Pies really sets us up for a productive pre-season and a successful 25.

| Think we will need 30 points to get in the playoffs so 3 wins but then we are still relying on other results dropping our way. With so many permutations anything can happen but think we may just fall short.
As others gave said the Salford loss was the killer we would had been above them now if we won that

| We could be in the 6 this time next week. Salford (vs HKR), Catalans (vs Wigan) and Leigh (vs Warrington) could all lose next week. Then we would most likely be in the 6 assuming we manage to beat London, and it’s back in our hands again although with a tough last two games.

That's how I see it too
We've got 2 very winnable games v London (A) and HFC (H) which would put us on 28 points
then we have 2 tough games v Wigan (A) and HKR (A) when they could both be fighting for either the LLS or a home tie in the play offs.
Plenty of If's and But's but it's out of our hands in reality
The loss to Salford in round 20 was a big blow, but I think that the round 14 defeat to Hull FC away was worse

| The only good thing about Leigh winning yesterday was it means the actual worst team may be relegated rather than the one that the bully boys of IMG and the RFL decide to relegate based on “fandom” etc. Set of clowns.

If you mean London, they've known they would be relegated since the season began, as they were given an initial C license by IMG. If you mean Hull they've always known they would be safe, as they were given an A rating. To be honest I wouldn't be at all surprised if Hull finished bottom. London ( who were promoted legitmately) seem to have a lot more fight in them. If you mean Leigh I don't think they were ever in remotely in danger of getting the chop. Not sure who's getting bullied.

I think you’ve missed my point. If London finish bottom, they have been the worst performing team. If they finish above Hull they haven’t been the worst team, and therefore it will sting when they go down, even though they knew at the start of the season they were grade C. As for who’s getting bullied, that’s quite obvious. Any of the clubs that are deemed not good enough for Superleague without even being given the chance have been bullied. If the RFL want to cut the roots off clubs like Featherstone, Barrow, Keighley etc who dare to dream that’s up to them, but what is the point of these clubs existing if they are never given a chance to play at the top level ? How are they going to improve their “fandom” when all the local kids want to go and watch the “bigger” clubs that play in Superleague. How are they going to improve their finances when less fans means less income and how are they going to get bigger sponsorship deals when potential sponsors know they’re product is never going to be seen under the lights of Superleague on a Friday night ? Can you seriously say that to be caught in a spiral of diminishing crowds, finances and general desirability as a club because IMG and the RFL say so is not being bullied ?
