can the headingley pitch sustain 2 games in mid winter? seen it cut up real easily after one game in the past

On Sky Sports 8 out of 11 games which will go to 9 of Catalans get a tv deal in place.

Are these the minimum standards the all stadiums had to meet. I love how Leeds, Wigan, Warrington, Saints, Salford and Hull all have lovely stadiums yet Cas and Wakey are still allowed to play in theirs. All that screaming from SL a few years ago.

Looks like our game v Catalan Dragons at home is being move to Sunday 9th August 2020 as part of another double header with London Broncos v Toulouse. Comes as no surprise really when we play Toronto Wolfpack away on Sunday 2nd August.

Also, the game against Catalan Dragons at Toulouse is a double header with Toulouse v London Broncos.

Surprised that the double header at headingley has been kept on Friday 7th August 2020

GH's interview in the YEP about the reasons for the double header. Chucked in a few bits about wanting to give lower level clubs a shot at playing at a top level ground, how it is a reciprocal arrangements with Tolouse with us playing there and how they have listened to what the fans wants prior to the game.

The increased bar and food takings only got a slight mention though so I'm sure that's not a big part of the thinking...

Anyone planning on going to Toronto be aware its the Carribean festival weekend the weekend we play there so flights and hotel prices could be at a premium.

Ive booked my trip already because of it

I’ve had the club’s trip prices through, start at £1,199 per person for 3 nights.

Yeah laughable. Im going Tues to Monday for just over half that price with downtown hotel and direct flights from Manchester.

Its another Sleeve masterclass.

Toronto’s a big city with lots of accommodation, I’m sure there will be things on nearly every weekend throughout the summer.

You don’t have to stay in the heart of downtown, if your near a subway stop and you can travel easily cheaply and quickly across the city.

Indeed but the festival is massive so just warning people that prices could rise.

Seems crazy, people must be willing to pay it, some must have more money than sense.

To be fair the club trip to Toronto isnt anywhere near as ridiculous as the £700 for 1 night in Toulouse. That really is nonsens if anyone pays that they want sectioning for their own good.
