We were so awful last season that you could easily say that any team who couldn't beat us really wouldn't be a top 4 team, as it turned out only one team last season failed to pick up a single league point against us last year.....Hull FC. They didn't do too badly now did they.

Massive win that for me. We don't go to Huddersfield often lately and come home with the points. Hopefully Golding & Keinhorst come back OK.

Shocking second half but got away with it, we will need to be better next week.

Having said that I thought we looked more fluid in attack in the first half.

Second half was woeful, but we kept them out. Golding was in Scooby Doo land. Hope the lad's okay.

Made bloody hard work of that. Usually our trouble is converting possession down at the oppositions end into tries, but we looked fine with that tonight in the first half, problem was we couldn't get down there as the match went on because of discipline and errors.

Again we are managing to keep teams to fairly low scores (that Cas game apart) that will always give you a good chance to win.

Not unusual at that ground,I seem to remember Matt Adamson being sinbinned while playing the ball by the "Top ref" Russell Smith.

True, I think they've kinda guessed that Ablett threw some punches back. Will be interesting to see the disciplinary on it this week.

As for Brough, listening to McDermott's interview after the match it really doesn't sound like a coach that's planning on signing him as some of the rumours make out, kind of mocking his petulance and temper.

I genuinely wouldnt want him & the same wrt Kevin Brown both over-rated imo.

McDermott? Sign Brough? Hadn't heard that one. Seems unlikely in the extreme.

I would love it if Brough got relegated with Hudds!

There was a window where he could've possibly gotten with a club who he could've won MAJOR trophies with around his MOS form a few years back. If he became available now (is he approaching 35?) I don't see many that interested in SL now tbh, not at top of the table anyway.

They've not started well, but they're way ahead of Widnes.
