| Who are these people, bloody fools if you ask me. it won't ruin the atmosphere at all IMO by having seating in the Southstand, plus don't protest in my name.

| The atmosphere at the all-seated Old Trafford has always seemed to me pretty good, despite the high roofs.
There will be enough objections to these proposals from outside the club without its so-called supporters trying to undermine it as well.

Idiots, they say they have not seen any positive comments well they clearly have not looked very hard.

| the plans look great. Its worth watching the video as it gives a better idea of the layout. There should be more standing capacity. The only thing they have to get right is the acoustics so the atmosphere remains or even gets better

Odsal has never been the same since the halycon day of 1954 ...And Headingley has never been the same since the teams stopped entering the field of play down the slope at the scoreboard end.
Nostalgia has a lot to do with these protests....I confess it will be a sad day for me when the South Stand is demolished as we know it. However nostalia and tradition is not a logical reason for not changing things...it never is.
To me the new proposal looks hugely rational and logical with every effort made to preserve the atmosphere generated by the standing spectators (people will soon find their new regular spot), but should the West Stand not be a higher priority? That is the greater travesty imposed on paying spectators IMO. posting.php?mode=reply&f=17&t=591474#

remember widnes players being snowballed by the eastern terrace after being sent off and trudging up that slope. Think it was sorenson (it usually was) Those memories are part of our history and heritage but the world moves on and the new redevelopped headingley will be great

Ha! Yes I remember that. Happy days. Those were the days when myself, my brother and late dad used to have "our" regular spot midway along the the South Stand. There was a group of women, who stood down to the right of us, who could always be reliably depended on for bringing those glorious warming spirit hip flasks to share. How we used to perversely use to 'hate' the big games when we had to set off earlier to secure "our" spots and then have to endure the reduced comfort of reasonable space around you.
Worse...losing your spot altogether to some damn alien opposition supporter(s). The Hull lot were usually the worst for this 'crime'.
Memories memories....but as the deaths of David Bowie and now Terry Wogan (both of whom I have spent my whole life growing up with) have highlighted, time marches inexorably onwards. Even Kevin Dick is a very old man now

It will be a sad day but time to move on which most agree.

| I don't understand why we would need the two badges on the New North stand, surely two extra boxes would be better as they would at least generate some income. This is the only question I have over them, everything else looks great

always thought summer a misnomer , pitches are better these days though (when union stops)
a wigan fan at xmas was complaining how sterile new ground is and put them off going.
you dont have to arrive early to stand where you want either though farcically the yellow lines were strictly policed at abletts testimonial

| Nobody knows at this point how much the atmosphere will be affected if the proposed rebuild goes ahead. I don't know how truly representative the views are on this forum, or how many people are really that bothered. I would have liked the South Stand replaced like for like, an all standing terrace. Obviously what the Leeds club ideally wanted has been compromised totally by what the cricket side wants. If the North Stand could have been rebuilt as an all seater with at least the same capacity, the South Stand wouldn't have been an issue, it would have been another all standing terrace. I do have some sympathy with annoyed fans against the current S.S plans, and I can see their concerns. As A North Stander, I'm not too sure I like the look of the redeveloped North Stand. I've had too many soakings in more modern cantilever stands, and the proposed stand doesn't look as weather tight as the current one. If I had my way I'd be happy to keep the current North Stand and have any necessary structural problems rectified, and the toilets upgraded. I'm not bothered about what YCCC wants, not my problem. If the new South Stand does get the go ahead, I'm not sure who would want to sit above the incessant beating of a drum, or have their children listen to a few hundred fans telling them Delaney will "fu**in" murder 'em". At this stage I don't think anybody really knows what the outcome might be if we have a part standing/part seating South Stand. The club have invited feedback from fans, and that can only be the right thing to do. How much they listen is another thing altogether. My guess is that for what ever reasons, Leeds have pretty much decided they are prepared to compromise on what they really wanted, and the current plans will be pushed through what ever the feedback. I don't see the ground atmosphere been anywhere near as good with the proposed redevelopments, and I will be sure to cherish what could be the last season at Headingley with the iconic South Stand in it's current form.
