It is and much worst than Sneyds and totally different, time to think and more men in the tackle.
I can't believe Gronk is trying to compare it.

Not disagreeing it's much worse (just because of how pre-determined that one clearly is) but they're both attacks on the oppositions ankle (Sneyd even has 2 goes ) that have caused injuries.
That one is the most obvious grade F you'll ever see, there can be a case made for Sneyd to receive the same charge to set an example and wipe out a scummy act.
A more realistic number though would probably be 4-8 for the recklessness because they'll be hard press to prove intent, unless they argue the 2nd attempt is proof of intent.
Hicks should have sent him off though.

| Quote ="Chapylad"Unfortunately it looks like we will have Burrow back to partner Sinfield for a few weeks with possibly Lilley or Robbie Ward on the bench.'"
Yeah looks like it'll have to be Burrow for Friday at least. Sutcliffe is very doubtful for that one but at the same time it doesn't sound like he'll be out for long.
Will be interesting to see if he opts for Lilley or Robbie Ward to then take the HB/hooker spot on the bench or goes with four forwards (if we have enough fit). With McDermott liking to give his starting forwards big minutes I can't see the point of four forwards on the bench and also Lilley/R.Ward gives us a balance if we lose Aiton/Sinfield/Burrow to injury throughout the game.
Personally would go for R.Ward.
As it stands for Friday with the rumoured absentees.
Hardaker
Handley
Watkins
Moon
Hall
Sinfield
Burrow
Leuluai
Aiton
Peacock
S.Ward
Keinhorst
Ablett
R.Ward
Singleton
The last two bench spots if fit would go to Delaney and Cuthbertson (he sounds surprisingly confident he'll be fine for Friday on his Twitter but it must be majorly doubtful unless the calf isn't actually torn).
If not then it's between Yates, Mulhern and Walters to make up the bench.

| Should be minimum 10 matches for Sneyd. That has no place in the game. Deliberate attempt to injure the player. There is no other reason for attempting that action.

Yes pretty much what I would go with adding Delaney and for me Mulhern to the bench.
But I guess Yates will get the nod over Mulhern.
TBH the squad is that small we do not have many options left.
Unfortunately Walters has not taken his chance.
We will miss McGuire's cut out passing to Hall for sure. Is it confirmed the ankle is broken?
I would be delighted to see Cuthbertson play Friday but it did not look too good from where I was standing.

They are a lot of fans from other clubs including some Leeds fans (some on here) defending him (well saying it wasn't deliberate, which is what most hull fans are saying), but you keep lying.

Yeah I can't see him being ok for Friday, probably just rugby player stubbornness that he thinks he can play.
Nothing confirmed about McGuire yet but he did leave the ground on crutches and wearing a protective boot so hopefully it's not as bad as we fear but Friday must be a certain no-no for him.
Agree about Walters. I was one of those looking forward to seeing him get some games this year but he's disappointed and now Keinhorst has stepped in ahead of him, he's lucky Minchella was loaned out as well.
I would like to see Mulhern. Maybe he might get in ahead of Yates. He did for a couple of games but Yates got back in when Mulhern injured himself at Hunslet. He's back playing for them now so could get ahead of Yates possibly.

You don't know me, so don't presume you know me or my thoughts, by the RFL guild lines it can only be upto a grade D, which is 3-5 matches which I think is fair and if he gets that so be it, I'd think the same if it was the other way around.

Stats, from the game.'"
Some big numbers in attack from some of our 'other' forwards today.
Ablett - 11 carries....113m.....10.27 avg
Singleton - 11 carries....100m....9.09 avg
Leuluai - 14 carries....124m....8.86 avg
Think Leuluai has shown the last two weeks that he can still do a job for us THIS year. He might not have had it in him to be a starting prop all year through but he's effectively only playing half a season now and will usually be off the bench (if Cuthbertson isn't out for too long) so could do a role for us for the run-in.
Having Peacock on the bench was probably to save him a bit for Friday so it's a shame Cuthbertson got injured and Peacock has ended up taking more carries (22) than probably was hoped for.
As for Friday. They nearly matched us in offloads (16-15). I know we had our best one in Cuthbertson off injured but they still got a few off. 5 of those came from Liam Watts, his avg carry wasn't anything good (4.9m) but we need to try and stop him offloading as much on Friday.

| Can sneyd be punished retrospectivly given the ref dealt with it?
Also, not defending the obvious ankle twist but is that what did mags ankle or was it damaged in the fall/tackle and then sneyd twisted an already damaged ankle?
If sneyd did break mags ankle by twisting then I would like the rfl to send out a strong msg.

Yes, it will be looked at by the review panel if they think there was nothing in it they can deem sin bin is sufficient but I suspect it will be at the least a reckless challenge putting pressure on the joints.

It will be very interesting to see what the rfl do then.
Was also pleased with McDs comments about the idiocy of sinbinning a player for retiluation at having his ankle either damaged or twisted when damaged by a "fellow professional"/plankton.

Whilst I think he was correct to moan about it in hindsight (i.e. an injury inflicted), and the fact that the ref still chose to sin bin despite seeing the injury, the point is had there not been an injury the ref would have been correct. McGuire kicked out in a very bad way, his foot came down on the players head. In that fast motion the error of the ref can be somewhat understood.
