Never heard so much bull in my life , there is very little decline in Sinfields level of play and neither have results gone down hill when he has played this season , in fact quite the opposite

Are you comparing Sinfield`s contribution with last season or from a few years back?
There is no question that he has been and probably still is a remarkable captain and motivator of the team.
His kicking is second to none too.
But I am not convinced he is as good overall now as he was a few years ago.

The decline has been significant both physically and mentally in terms of speed. I would still have him in the 17 but not playing the pivotal position he has in the past

Like i say , in my opinion not much has changed in fact in a couple of games H.K.R away for one he has run more with the ball than previous , he has never relied on pace so that is not a factor and by all accounts his fitness levels in pre season were as good as ever in the testing that they do , amazed that once he announced he was leaving certain posters jump on the" well he is not the player he was" mode

He has been in steady decline "form wise" for over 18mths plus as for never having any pace he has looked much more heavy legged as well check back 18mths many said it then.
None of that is disrespectful or tarnishes his phenomenal achievements here without doubt the Clubs greatest ever Captain and hopefully plans are in place for a statue but time waits for no man and it's rapidly catching/caught up with Sir Kev.

We will just have to agree to disagree then as i just don't see it and i would be interested how many would not select him for the 13 if any match was a win for your life.

I'm just reading that he has donated his 500apps shirt for the Danny Jones Fund.Great gesture I think the club should make an effort to acquire it and display it when the Neww South stand is ready

Well there;s some food for thought. I'm sure there will be many that say that performance had nothing to do with Sinfield's re-introduction and that he didn't merit man of the match.

There will definitely be one. Don't think there will be many.

Sinfield had his best match for quite some time and his contribution deserved the MofM award. The decision to play him at 6 for this match was the correct one due to a need for better game management and points from kicks following a drop in form from Sutcliffe.

However IMO the main reason for our turn around in form was the performance of the pack notably JP, Cuthbertson, Delaney and Ward who created a go-forward platform which allowed our half backs and backs to perform. The return of Hall was another factor and not just his usual strong individual efforts but in allowing Watkins to return to the centres it gave a missing fluidity and confidence to our back play. I am sure Sutcliffe's game would have also benefited too had he been chosen but he would not have turned 4 point into the 6 with the same regularity that Sinfield did.

There are some that were suggesting the the likes of JP and Cuthbo should be rested having "been flogged" (in their opinion) but the best way to return to form is to play yourself back and the key period of first half possession allowed us to do that and build the all important confidence building momentum which squeezed Huddersfield out of the game.

I thought he played as well as has for some time - perhaps he had a point to prove to himself and his team mates? His tackling was as good as its been for a while. The move he put on Brough for the Watkins try was top draw.

The biggest change was the performance of the forwards - whether that was down to Sinfield's inclusion who knows, perhaps more likely a collective desire to retain the trophy?

His goal kicking is a huge plus to the team.
