When/where has Nobby ever said he 'hates leeds'?
From what I've heard in the past (and just read on George Riley's BBC blog) Noble would be keen to have a crack at the Leeds gig - and why wouldn't he? He's a super ambitious coach
Now - whether he'd be 'wanted' at Leeds is a different matter altogether...only GH knows the answer to that

Take it from me Nobby hates Leeds.
I would doubt for one minute he would state that publicly nor would he turn down a job working at Leeds if an offer came around providing he couldn`t get a better offer elsewhere.

| Don't know that he hates us, but I've always got the impression when he's commentating, that it really sticks in his throat when he has to say something favourable about Leeds.

This is what I'm getting at - all this talk that 'Nobby would never take the leeds job' is wide of the mark. He, like players, has a 'professional' take on the game rather than the parochial outlook we fans have.
From what I heard - if Brian Mac hadn't been handed the gig on a plate - Nobby would have put his hat in the ring, in a flash. Whether this is a good thing, is a different story altogether...
Anyway - back on topic:
Burrow to the Bulls? With DM out injured until mid-summer, I can't see it happening. Going into a new season without your starting halves from the past few years (through injury/transfers) would be a risk I'm not sure Leeds would take - especially as seeing as though there can't be many quality replacements available at this stage (unless of course GH is going to splash the Canterbury/Eastwood cash).

| Obviously I don't see Leeds as much as you lot, but I honestly think that Leeds would be a frightening prospect with a proper organising 7 alongside Danny McGuire.
Replacing Burrow with such a player could see Leeds step up a level IMO.

I'm with you.
See my summary on the 'Burrow to Cas' thread. He has had a season too long at Leeds already IMO.

I had heard a rumour that he was going to be out of action beyond April - but this is just hearsay* - and not really 'news' as with any serious injury, as we all know, 'return' dates can shift over time.

I prefer the bar maid off Corrie
he won't be in rehab yet will he? Whatever happens happens tbf just as long as he's right for when he gets back. No point risking him too early and losing him again.

| I think it's time to manage expectations.
Leeds' season (at best) will now hang on the rapid recoveries of McGuire and Peacock without there are some significant moves in the player market and I'd be surprised if either were to happen.
Buckle up, it's going to be a rough ride, finishing anywhere within the top 6 will be an achievement.

I think realisically we are going to struggle but i dont want us to just write the season off. I agree though in that we need to be realistic and not turn into warrington boooing ALL the time, hopefully some of the younger lads will stand up and develop.

| If the rumour is true I would assume this would only happen if Gary had a replacement lined up already. I couldn't see us going into the new season with no recognized half backs in the team.

| i have it on good authority that Robbie b has been offered a lucrative contract and is considering it as we speak
he is appearing with snow white in the xmas panto at the Crewe lyceum
He has been linked to everthing else
but seriously who could we have playing at 7 who would come to Leeds who is available even if it does involve a transfer fee i cant see it unless we have a replacement

| I suppose if Rob goes to Bradford, he can complete his medal collection with a Northern Rail Cup & Championship winners medal over the next few years.

| With Bulls signing Diskin it means they have 3 hookers, however one of them can slot into scrum half with ease. But yet again Orford will free up a lot of cap space and Bulls should get a tranfers fee. If they wish that gives them some buying power to come in for somebody like Burrow, who is under contract. Tbh if Bulls came in with a nice fee I'd let Burrow go, but only if the sleeve has got something lined up in replace.
