That said the game was slower back in the late 70's in Smith's Leeds days so it's all relative and on the track he might have struggled with someone like Stuart Chick from the Leeds 'A' team squad a few years later.

Best example of that kind of change of pace and direction I ever saw was Mark Calderwood so mesmerising Gary Connolly that he fell over backwards - think it might have been 2004/5?
