If i remember correctly, didn't someone say last year that Leeds have signed a young Castleford half back called Ryan Brierley for the 2012 season?

Hope Not? Do you know anything about this kid Andy? The lad is superb, the fact he is not in the Cas first team is down to needing that older head in Orr to direct the team.

He would be a very good signing for any club.

I don't like what I've heard off the field, which suggests his attitude and those of some of the people around him need a significant adjustment. He's apparently being released by Cas at the end of the season due to travel problems (still lives in the Leigh area IIRC) and is looking for somewhere closer to home with both Salford and Warrington being mentioned.

If Leeds are that set on recruiting a young half back, makes you wonder why they didn't put up that much of a fight when Cas took Zak Snellgrove from right off the doorstep at Milford.

Was his coach from 13s - 15s at Milford, Zaks got real potential, pound for pound a big hitter, strong and exceptional turn of pace. As though from that same Milford side, have Josh Sunley (full back) and Luke Teasdale (hooker) both in the 18s at Leeds.

Very impressed with Sunley thus far plenty of pace ,vision and hits way above his weight.

Got a belief in his own ability (wont say arrogance!) too which goes along way, hes always hit hard in the contact and can be impossible to get hold of with the ball in hand.

Jamel Chisholm has signed a Professional Contract at the Rhinos, starting next season on a 2 year deal.

Be interestin to see if he can force his way into the 1st team after Webb re-signed he'll be competing against Hall ,Smith ,Bjb and Hardaker.
Maybe if the club see Smith as a centre and Hall is 1st choice it still leaves Hardaker and Bjb in front of him.

Any news on Ali and Bailey's possible contract extensions and is it now likely that Buderus will return to the Knights? If Ali and Buderus go then it will create more space under the salary cap for signings. Griffin seems a done deal but what about Heighington and is Chase just wishful thinking? Any other names in the frame?
