Heard were sniffing around at Michael Chopra, although the fee will probably scare Bates off. But you never know considering the financial troubles Cardiff are in.

Leeds Utd need a 20+ goals a season striker or 6th from bottom would be seen as acceptable by Bates. He has always been the same, maximum return for minimum investment. Runs a football club just like a business, which might not be a bad thing in some people's eyes.

I'd much rather we had a genuine fan in charge like Peter Ridsdale.

Yeah heard that one last week, I just can't see Bates spending what would be required though... he didn't score that many though last term IIRC.. but a top player at Championship level anyway IMO

I'm not as concerned as you seem to be. I think with our new 4-5-1 system that Grayson is using there is a less of a need for a striker you talk about. I also think Paynter has been dismissed far to quickly considering the amount he scored last season, give him a chance. Also I know it's only pre season but Becchio has been banging them in, in his new role as an out and out striker rather than a support for Beckford.

He is 6ft 3 and very pacey. Heard he could have been running the 400m for GB had he not chose football. Likes to get forward also and is an aerial threat.

Saw Caulker in the recent u19's tounrament and he looks decent although i'd prefer a Midfield "dog of war" and another CF.
Lees has gone to Bury for 6mths and with doubts over Naylor and Kisnorbos fitness so i suppose Caulker will add depth.

Heard a rumour today about Craig Dawson from Rochdale coming as part of a deal with Tresor Kandol going the other way plus 200k. Dont know how much truth is in it though, because its abit wierd being a defender deal with a striker included.

If we get Caulker can't see it happening.
