I also want to support and encourage our best youngsters but it should not stop us from identifyng and ultimatley signing top talent from elsewhere which will improve the squad. Hardaker is now getting rave reviews but think who he was playing for only two years ago. The same applies to good players from the NRL. If we want to stay at the top we have to have the best players!

| From what I've seen, which admittedly isn't much, I'd agree with Gotcha that he looks a very promising player. With Peacock & Leuluai both near retirement I don't see why there can't be space for both Taylor and Singleton.
Though whether he's available or wants to come to Leeds I have no idea.

| Scott Taylor & Sam Moa are both OOC at the end of this season, and we have an option on Amor to come back from Wakey (obviously).
Leaving us with: Leuluai, Peacock, Bailey, Griffin, Moa, Taylor, Amor & Singleton for 2013 (some of whom will be playing SR/LF with Ablett to centre)
and Griffin (by then 33), Bailey, Moa, Taylor, Amor & Singleton for 2014.
Don't forget Griff is OOC in 2014, and in 2015 TMFMISL will be 32. So we need to have some good young props by then. Amor, Singleton & Taylor will do nicely.

| Even if Ablett is to be now regarded primarily as a centre we will be without both Webb and Smith next year so IMO we are one light in the backs. Yes we should make time for the youngsters but they will need to be brought in slowly and given our luck with injuries (especially Watkins) we need another quality centre on the books.
Following on from this I think we will need a replacement for Ablett in the back row. Ward can play at 13 but I think he would prefer 6 with less of the hard work to do and so not to dull his creative side.
If we cannot find a top prop then I think Delaney can fill the breach with JJB as cover if the youngsters struggle.

I expect the announcement that Amor is staying at Wakefield to come any day now personally. If there even is an announcement that is.

Keinhorst & Chisholm look ready now, I think for temporary injury cover they'll be fine. Leaving us in the second row with JJB, Delaney, Kirke & Clarkson as senior players, with Daniel Smith coming through from the youth team.

I think we need to sign a quality experienced centre. Keinhorst and Chisholm have loads of potential and will get their chance later.

| So how many players turned up for the Childrens day @ Headingley last Sunday.
I saw Webb, Moore, Leuluai, McGuire, Jarod Stewart (and Brian McDermott, with his kids), but was there anyone else there. ?

| With all due respect Gotcha, Craig Huby seriously ruined your reputation as a talent scout.
Taylor is big, athletic but has little in the way of a rugby brain. He's a younger Ben Cross.

Scott Taylor is not OOC and Moa is going back to Aus apparently.

| As GH has said he would mainly be interested in young players from the NRL I wonder if these two are on his radar? Also some people on this forum say we mainly get players from the NRL who have problems !

South Sydney have sacked young NRL playmaker James Roberts and Toyota Cup forward Adrian Ha'angana.
South Sydney have sacked promising playmaker James Roberts and Toyota Cup forward Adrian Ha'angana for breaches of their contracts and the NRL club's code of conduct.
Roberts, who's the nephew of former Sydney Roosters winger Amos Roberts, is rated as one of the club's most talented young stars.
The 19-year-old has not played this season due to injury, but had been considered as a long-term prospect at fullback for the Rabbitohs.
The 19-year-old made his debut in round seven last season against Canterbury and scored five tries in 10 appearances.
Second-rower Ha'angana has been a regular member of Souths' under-20s side this season

Long term prospect at full back when you have Inglis who's only about 25 himself. Doubt it!

He has played most of the year at FB and looked awesome. They then have Nathan Merritt to go back there, which he will do now Inglis is banned.
Besides, we don't want a fullback. We have a potential star already.

| Our needs are in the forwards. A prop & a second row, plus bringing Amor, Singleton & Smith into the rotation. We have two cap spaces free at least (Webb & Smith), one of which will have gone to Ward. So there's money there.
