YEP reporting GH will be reporting back and putting forward his preferred candidate to the board for ratification at a Board meeting currently planned for Wednesday.

If the board ratify his candidate I reckon it will be announced to the public on Thursday

'Not a novice' who we all thinking now?

Whoever it is it's going to be a big job and we must be patient he must be given time

If NRL, I reckon Carr is the favourite and will no doubt be the cheapest option of the potential coaches over there.

If UK I reckon it will be Danny Ward (who had his interview today) or Paul Anderson

I think there's more chance of it being Dean Lance than Paul Anderson.

I think Danny Ward is also underwhelming. I think Smith is the outstanding candidate over here but not sure he would be interested. I hope he is with Danny as his number 2 ready to takeover in 2/3 years. The only other candidates worthy or capable of the job imo are Shaun Wane, Watson, Powell or McNamara. I just hope it’s not someone who has been out of work for a few years.

Out of that lot Watson is the only one I would be happy with and it ain`t going to happen anyway.
Still think it`s Danny Ward which is underwhelming unless it`s until the end of the season and we get a decent overseas coach in.

He's not been out of the game, he's been coaching Warrington's and England's academy for the last few years

Exactly very big step up! Agree with majority only potentially available UK based coach I would consider is Tony Smith who is probably the least risk appointment including all the overseas based options as well.Knows the game over here plays a good brand of rugby and understands everything that comes with being Leeds coach. If reports are true also realises its gonna take 3 to 4 years to re-establish the team at the top!

Tony Smith is in talks with Hull KR and is expected to sign a one year extension. Saw that reported the other day.

Yeah, my initial thoughts on that 'not a novice' statement was that it ruled out Carr, Ward, and Rohan Smith, but its 2022 GH, god knows what his definition of a novice is.
