load of rubbish these racism claims and no shock shabs has jumped on the bandwagon

If Sangare was a home grown player, who had come through our academy he would be praised more often than not.

Yeah I'm not sure that's true, oledszki got plenty of criticism last year and he's home grown. Sangare is nearly 26 not a young player anymore he did his job well Friday but overall I've not seen him play to the potential he sometimes shows. I wasn't convinced about him before he signed. He just hasn't shown he has the ability/mentality to consistently apply himself for the time he is on the field, too languid in his approach.

A big point of forums like this is for fans to talk players and it’s mostly in good healthy opinions… I don’t love it when some criticise the likes of Mik who is an absolute club stalwart, carried our pack for years with little support and worked his way into England selection. One dip in form and the knives come out. He had a decent shoulder injury the end of the previous season…

Exactly proving my point. I thought oledszki was poor last year (as he reflected himself). Though the years where as you say he's carried us, and his injury, for me gave him some slack. His homegrown status didn't protect him from criticism though.

No and the criticism of players is sometimes unwarranted. Mik wasn’t even that bad last year; just not up to his usual standards.

I don't see a problem with saying a player is playing poorly when they are as long as it's respectful and leaves the personal stuff out.

Never in well over 50 years of going have i heard it , yes supporters pick on players but colour has never come in to it within my hearing

To be fair ive heard racism on the terraces in the last few years, it wasn’t our terrace though it was at Cas and the lads shouting it were swiftly booted out.

Unfortunately racism and bigotry seems to be on the rise and it’s due to the non existent culture wars the politicians seem to want to fight, but that’s a totally separate OT point.

Yeah of course. But with Mik it’s not like the lad was trying to have a poor season and he started injured without a proper pre-season.

We like to refer to Sangare as Frenchie ( like a beautiful blonde er... pineapple) though thats going to be confusing now with Goudemand, To get the best out of him will be tricky, he needs a little bit more space to get moving before contact , which means standing a bit deeper at the play the ball and who ever is at the ruck then has to play different for him which is a pain but would be even harder to stop actually running onto the ball and he has to be carefull with the raised knees he might need to accelerate
. What do you call a dummy runner who isnt actually running.... but at the same time he has been carefull not to run into the line and cause an obstruction. Still think theres an effective prop there its all about his own confidence and his half backs tee ing him up right.

I just don't think Sangare is a problem player. He's a rotation prop and massive, takes juice out of the opposition and probably not wildly expensive on the salary cap.

What we do need is Mik, Tom and Sam in good form around him, and ideally one or two more props coming through the system like TNW.

If Mom gets a ban for this one I'll be fuming. There was clearly no contact with the head and he had a right to tackle the player who had just touched and then dropped the ball. It shouldn't have even been a yellow card; and Salford basically stopped playing and ran in, forcing the ref to stop the game while we had the ball on a counterattack... bonkers.

If Mik and Lisone continue there form on from Friday we will go well, Miks stats were pretty good and head and shoulders above any other prop on the field.

Yes, it’s quite sad really. To think that we used to mock footballers for feigning injury and mobbing the ref at every other decision. Who would have thought Rugby League would turn out just the same. It’s understandable that a lot of ex players and older supporters have no interest in the game nowadays. It’s quite damning when you hear fans talking about how good certain players are at winning penalties for their team.

This one is down to refereeing. It’ll stop pretty quickly if they bin players for dissent and time wasting etc.

Amusing to hear Rowley talk about the game being played in good spirit when he had clearly instructed his side in toilet tactics to slow the game down.

We need a bit more size and go forward in the pack. Donaldson isn't a prop and has never made yards, and Bentley doesn't make dent in the defence either. I'd definitely look to Ruan and TNW if they are available. That pack against Salford felt a bit too similar to the worst of Agar's "middles" days....
