| Quote ="Biff Tannen"Just saying Hull are garbage in comparison to even your team of a few seasons back, that even in my opinion again was not all that as proved by its failure to make a GF and being in 3rd place now proves the strength of the competition as a whole.
If you disagree that's fair enough but you clearly threw the toys out and on the offensive. If you can't handle other people's opinions then stick to your own board where you can all blissfully blow smoke up each others aris's and pretend everything is rosy in the garden.'"
I think we are playing much smarter than other years actually, we have previously, mentally and physically put everything into every game in the past, giving us long winning streaks early season. these have, admittedly, brought us 2 cup wins but from that exact point onwards we have folded and given up, mentally and physically drained.
I agree when we have coasted into games we have been hammered and that isn't acceptable, but we can win the games we need to and are just now coming into our best form. Wire, I feel, have hit a wall, playing at 100% and now losing, and morale is maybe on a spiral downwards. Hull coming to the crest of a wave now at the business end of the season.
Saints are much better than anyone else atm anyway and can win without going all out.
I'm more confident than other years.

What's impressive about Saints is their consistency. Even their weaker performances have actually been pretty good performances by other teams standards. But I don't think their A game is that far ahead of everyone elses A game. If we play our best rugby when we meet them I think we can turn them over, and I think Warrington and perhaps even Catalans and Cas will feel the same way. Hull blow hot and cold, and the way we have downed tools at times really isn't acceptable for a professional team. But ultimately those blow outs won't mean anything if we make the top 3. In the playoffs its all about who performs on the day.

Amazing season from them. They are certainly not going to go away. Could be 20 points for safety at this rate.

| They were written off as absolute no-hopers this season, we were told that London wouldnt win a game, hadnt spent any money on players of quality etc etc, what they have got is an amazing battle hardened squad and mentality and basically are playing with absolute freedom, they were expected to go down and expected to be easy beats and they are anything but.

| Although they lost kr had a good win last week and are strengthening with a new coach. Assuming we lose at sts we really need to start picking up wins or panic may set in.

London and HKR both played pretty well, good game.
I am very nervous about this run-in.
Honestly I think the Wigan result at home was a terrible result.

| Both games against Wigan have been there for the taking, we’ve managed to completely muck both up.
We’ve imploded, theyve ground them out.

Imo the appointment of Smith to HKR is a masterstroke by them. I am pretty certain he will find a way to get the wins to keep them up and the run London are on has everyone scurrying. We have to really switch on now and make sure we grind out these winable home games.

Some interesting thoughts over in the Hull newspaper regarding the run in of fixtures from Salford in 6th down to Hull KR in 12th
Plenty of tough games remaining for all of the sides and you wonder where the win's will come from
Wakefield's run in looks very tough but they have a 4 point advantage over us at present

| We are about a year on now from Sinfields appointment and looking at it, we are in worse shape now then when he came, which is pretty damming.
We were poor last season under McD but I always felt we would survive the qualifiers, I just didn't see how we were going to improve.
Now I am very concerned about relegation, we have a stand in coach and a team that despite adding two marquee players really is no better.
What has Sinny actually brought to the club? What decisions has he got right? I like hurrell and Merrin but it's clear we needed to spend on at least one top in. He made ferres captain (what the actual cluck). He got his number 1 coach then 14 games in have heatherington the ultimatum. We have a bunch of players contracted for next season who aren't up to it yet we will have to pay them off.
I know he has made some tough call like with Watkins and I don't doubt that Sinny has the balls for the job, I just don't know if he has everything else.

| We reacted quickly to get rid of Furner but not the team itself. Took an age to get Ava and management seemed to think that was all that was needed. Not quite sure how they missed the halfback issue or other glaring problems.

KS is way out of his depth even if you factor in the cluster fc#8 he inherited.
75% of his signings are garbage past it or injured and his call re-Coaching staff woeful.
What I will say in KS' defence GH has dropped the ball big time on retention & recruitment for the last 4yrs so not all KS fault but saying that he's us nor himself no favours. ![Shoot Poster a026.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//a026.gif)

| Our win ratio for the season so far 32% a similar percentage fir the last 10 is likely to see us relegated. We need a minimum of 6 wins (60%) idealy 7 to be safe and must not lose to either Hull KR London or Huddersfield, who have been dragged jnto the dog fight and on a diwnward spiral.

That depends entirely on how many games those teams are going to win from here on in
Wakefield have got a very tough run in and are only 4 points in front of the bottom 2 but also have a superior points difference ATM (but that could change with a couple of bad defeats)
So we might not need as many as 6 or 7 wins (IMO I don't believe that we will win that many)
In reality we need to win
3 more games than Wakey
2 more wins than Giants and London
1 More win than Hull KR

I still think London will finish bottom especially looking at their run over the next 6 weeks, that said, if they beat us I might change my verdict and we will be well and truly in the mix. It would be entertaining if we got to the final 2 weeks and there were 4 sides in the relegation mix.
When did we last have a good relegation battle in SL , 2006?

I think it will go down the the wire. London’s last 3 fixtures are Leeds, Hull kr and Wakefield. One of the 4 will be relegated so those 3 fixtures will be crucial.

| Should really be taking 4 points off Catalans at home twice and HKR and Salford at home should also be big targets for points that's 8 and should hopefully be enough.
We have no excuses really if we finish bottom looking at the run in.
