What about the form of Leeds and Saints in last year's GF qualifier. What could you tell from that?

Depends on the personnel we get back from injury, Maurie and Cayless are much needed to give the other props a more equal workload.

From that match I would say that most Rhinos fans would be soiling themselves, but the way we then played against Wigan after that proved to me that there was no favourite for the final. People were reading too much into Saints v Rhinos and forgetting how we demolished an in-form Wigan.

That was one game.

The form of leeds the in weeks leading up to the playoffs was pretty good.

we thrashed wigan and cas i think, ground a victory against bradford and beat a determind wakey team.

We're playing very very badly at the moment but if we can get maurie and cayless back before going to Leeds, I wouldn't be surprised to see us win there.

Those on the pitch haven't become bad players overnight, regardless of the knee jerking boo boys. If we have Longy and a couple of props back, and avoid any more key injuries, we'll give it a good go in the playoffs.

We do look very tired though, it all depends whether we can lift when it matters or whether there just isn't any juice left.

i have said all along that because of the world cup leeds have ambled along and saved energy for the play offs. do you think saints have put too much into the season? or have the fact that you have had injuries and got more than a few older players not helped?

We have a nack for coming home with a wet sail as of late.

Our conditioning staff do a bloody good job.

I think it's the latter to be honest. We all knew that the time would come when we would start to struggle in the league, when people like KC/Wello/Long etc came to the end of their careers, and the injuries this season have not helped either. But we've not had a bad season - we're still joint top, in the playoffs and will hopefully have Faas back for the playoffs. This week off will do us good, and hopefully get us ready for you guys the week after. I still think we're a force for the playoffs, anything can happen. The way some of our fans go on, you'd think that we have finished 9th and we're sending the kitman out in the first team.

it's all on the day as the last 2 years have proved. i think the hard part for you will be getting there. if you do i think you have a good a chance as anyone

Exactly. We're just the same as any other side, take each game as it comes and prepare as well as we can.
