I am not trying to be difficult by not including a link because like I said I did not make a copy of the link only that is was in July last year as stated. I came across it by chance while looking for something else and noted his comment, but not the link, as I cannot recall tvoc as one of those gracious enough to say they got it wrong regarding McDermott.

As tvoc is the one querying his own comment, then he should be the one to do the research work rather than asking me to search back over all those anti McDermott postings once again. He is as capable as I of looking back on his own comments and I would of thought by now he has found it.

The context of his first post was to something to do with a discussion on the merits of Maguire as a coach. His second comment was to do with the merits of West as a Leeds coach. Therefore the context did not effect the negative judgement being made by tvoc.

As Graeme West never coached Leeds I'd like to see the context in which I said he did. I recall perfectly well the context of the West comment.

I've only just stumbled across this thread and had a quick read through, but I suspect the 'taxi for McDermott & Lowes' comment went way over your head

Lowes was interested in the available head coach positions in super league for this year but wasn't interviewed for any, something McDermott again thinks reflects the poor view of English coaches.

This is nothing new. I remember re-hashing the bile from many posters during the 2007 season after our GF win. You have to realise the majority of our fans and the majority of our posters on here are morons.

Thats a class quote there G. I don't mind people writing the team off and being proven wrong. Its when people write our team off, and simultaneously get on their knees and blow hard on a team, saying they WILL win this that and the other. Its especially funny, when its the supporter of a club, who have won practically nothing in the last 20 years, apart from a couple of fairly flat track CC wins.

I did think burrow was finished as a starting scrum half early season but what a revelation @ sub.

would prefer sinfield back at loose forward but not sure would go with danny and rob starting

Personally I would go back to McGuire and Burrow with Sinfield at loose but I can understand the tactic of using Rob from the bench (even though I disagreed wit hit at first).

I think they may well start games as last season. Then after things have settle down midway through the first half revert to the classic triangle. This way both Burrow and Sinfield will have to do less tackling in the early part of the game keeping them fresher to make an impact for the rest of the game in their original positions.

The ability to quote things is hit and miss for me on this site.
Sometimes people don't like it if a quote isn't properly quoted so a direct question was easier.
While not always agreeing with g1, who I know as well as yourself nantwich, his thoughts seem a bit more reasoned than your own. I'd expect you to pencil burrow in @ prop forward if the pfu would allow you.

I'm definately in favour of Mags and Burrow at 6 and 7 respectively not least because i think Mcshane and Hood are good enough to handle the 9 role between them.

You'd have seen that on a banner if the first 20 minutes of the Hull FC (H) game last season had started to go the wrong way.

I did say he doesn't get everything right. Buderus recovered from his leg injury better than diskin for me.

Ablett has never let anyone down in the centres and haedaker ended up replacing watkins which was perhaps more luck than judgement for everyone.

Didn't you want hardaker @ stand off and not centre. Certain games it may be good to try him there this year if going to be attack minded .

) I make more considered opinions.....but still within the limitations of being no more than a fan of the game.

Hardaker excites me more than any other has done for many years. He exudes confidence, skill and a good rugby brain. I was one of those disappointed when he was dropped from the threequarters, but yet Ablett was stll retained there. The latter I do like incidentally, but as a capable LF, not a no-more-than-a-competent centre.

In a relatively short time Hardaker will have no problem in handling the responsibility at SO....in the meantime I am more than happy to see him command a starting spot in the centres.

Watkins too incidentally looks exciting I'm sure most if not all would agree, but he [ihas[/i been somewhat more mistake prone than Hardaker....and of course, he's yet to prove his long term fitness, after what - already - seems to be numerous injury ommissions since his debut. Of course I hope he kicks on in 2012 and .....who knows......Jack Reed may be the only incumbent centre stopping the Leeds pair becoming this season's international pairing.
