As I said on one of the other threads,had Sinny played against Cas then without question I would have rested him tomorrow.

I'd still consider resting McGuire.

Depending on the makeup of the 17 we could start with Sinny at 6 with Clarkson at 13 or if wanting to keep captain Kev at 13 and wanting to give games to all the backs could play Smith at 1 and Webb in the halves.

No idea what the bench was but I remember we won with 4 tries to 3 with individual stuff from our backs with McGuire in good form (he was rested against Blackpool the game before!!) and Warrington were not at their best with a man in the bin, but came back at us near the end.


I agree that our kicking game is also crucial but they will be trying to close Sinny down and he needs to be on the front foot to be effective, so its vital that our forwards do what as their name says ie: go forward.

The case for the deliciously attractive Scotty is overwhelming. He's gorgeously beautiful, seductive and engagingly and naturally sprite on the wing, he's won loads of medals and he's got an exceedingly exotic name, comparatively speaking. He also cares about the club and would still be willing to play for them at the age of 66 whilst turning down golden opportunities back home if Leeds squad strength wasn't quite up to scratch.

Lee Smith (how unexotic is that name?) had the audacity to turn down a lucrative contract at Headingley in search of an even more lucrative contract in Union. He couldn't cut the mustard in that game because he's nothing more than a big thick daft lad, felt lonely, missed his family 200 miles away, developed homesickness, and crawled back to Leeds with tail between legs. Set another precedent for turning down lucrative contracts at Headingley when he ought to have been eternally grateful but unsurprisingly didn't cop any flak for it, in complete contrast to someone else who also turned down a lucrative contract immediately prior to the premature announcement of the "Scotty" signing, despite playing an absolute blinder in the 2004 Grand Final against Big Les 'Kolo.
