One in the eye for the know nowts on SM who were saying Rohan Smith was clueless for not picking dwyer.

| Great effort from the boys and as said , a masterclass from the coach. Not a weak link in the team , and Smith seems able to get the most out of his players . Even Tet is now looking a player and doing much longer minutes than he did in the NRL.
One question , if Austin van put up a bomb like he did in the second half ( no full back in the world would have caught it ) why are we limited to one a game - it is a fantastic weapon .
Here`s hoping we have no more injuries , and neither of the top 2 will want to play us.

I’m not saying we’ll go over there and get a win, but it’s mainly Saints and Wigan fans $hitting themselves

| Think we played in a very controlled manner tonight, I don’t feel as though we ever looked like losing and I don’t think we played as well as we are capable of. Think thins group is learning quickly how to be a complete side and winning the ‘tough’ games that take a patient build up and a big grind.
I’m no lover of referees but I thought that James Child had a cracking performance with the whistle, he ref’d everything fairly he missed the odd forward pass etc but no ref is ever going to get it 100% right on the night.

I was referring to them mate. As they should be. I wouldn't want to play us either, given we keep turning up, changed up, and we keep getting the wins...

I think the "no significant injuries" comment was in reference to the fact that there were no long stoppages relating to injuries, as part of him having a pop at Catalans for slowing the game down so much. Gannon clearly won't play next week, which is a huge shame... fingers crossed that Oledski's shoulder is okay!

| I'm not sure on the praise of the ref, he landed himself in that position in the first place as there was a clear sin binning early on for a high tackle (if not 2) and he didn't give it. He set an early precedent for what was acceptable.

| McIlorum is a liability when the red mist sets in - if he is to play as Wane's preferred hooker he needs to get a grip. Between him, Pearce and Tomkins they had three senior players who completely lost the plot and set the tone for the behaviour of the rest
Tomkins play acting - if this is the way the game is going its very integrity is in question. No doubt he will be a guest commentator for Sky over the next two weeks - bet nobody asks him about his dive!!

| Surely Philip Clarke won’t want anything to do with Tomkins cheating and offered his resignation on the spot last night?
I wonder if he’s answered Myler’s call yet?

Quite the opposite - here’s hoping Hudds beat Salford as Leeds is the team I’d like saints to play by a country mile. I’d be surprised if Wigan fans didn’t want a Leeds semi also.

| For all the critics of him on here I thought Tindall stood up to be counted last night. Never dropped a ball or leave a huge gap. Took the ball in - din't make many metres but it took some of the workload of the forwards.

Was going to say this. I had serious concerns with him playing due to no Newman, Handley and Martin being out but he really stood up under pressure. Yes no big runs or breaks but Catalan just kept kicking in his direction and he kept taking it safely and getting us out of there. Big credit to him.

I'm not surprised given: A) your record against us(Is it 47 wins in a row now?) and B) We'll likely be missing Fusitua, Handley, Newman, Oledzki, Gannon, Martin, Holroyd and Thompson. Let's face it, if Saints can't see us off you're not the team I thought you were. The huge bright side for Leeds fans is that Smith keeps getting the wins despite all this, which seems miraculous when you consider the last few years. Re your point on the quality of the game - I thought it started quite high and detiorated as the home side dragged it towards the gutter. Not really our fault though.

Of course you do mate. No pressure on Leeds whatsoever, and we all know what can happen when they’re told they’ve no chance.
I’m not too sure why everyone seems to be wanting to avoid Salford also? Had a good season no doubt, but Leeds beat them fairly convincingly a few weeks back, and we were pretty poor also.

Correct. Lost control of the game early on and never got it back.
Catalans always lose their cool when things start to go against them and become penalty machines.
Great win for you guys. See you next week or the week after.

100% agree that the game was dragged down by Catalans (who have been an undisciplined rabble most times we’ve played them in the past couple of years) and that Leeds have had a brilliant end to the season.
I just struggle to see them going any further but this is sport - you never know.

| The media (Sky) have tried to turn Tomkins into a respectable player over the years but he showed his true colours last night.
Appalling behaviour from Catalans IMO - coach McNamara evidently still likes to resort to 1990s style thuggery, Tomkins, various players, and even the supporters throwing missiles and multiple shots of kids giving v signs on and off the pitch (I guess they are just copying the antics of Tomkins).
Seriously don't get McNamara's longevity as a coach after he ran the Bulls into the ground with crap signings... But that's for another discussion. One CC and GF appearance isn't exactly a great return for the years he's spent at top clubs in SL.

| Was great to see McIlorum losing it last night against Bentley.
Takes me back to Magic 8 years ago when in almost identical circumstances he lost it with Peacock.
In a great bit of housery, sky decided to show that game straight after last night, top effort lads. Great viewing.

He was much better and stood up to the pressure, though he needs more direction with his carries, I'm not sure what he was trying to do with those early in the game.

| Think Tindall just needs a bit of patience in his carries, he seems to be looking for the wow play every carry which leads to him losing meters quite often, he needs to settle down and understand that a 9/10 meter carry with quick play the ball is still a good outcome.
I like him though, have since scholarship, hope he can keep improving.

Bags of effort but still very much a work in progress. What happened to him when Myler broke down the left in the first half? Presume Pearce probably had him in a choke-hold.
