You watch that and other weeks, and I fail to see how Stephens is not a better option on that wing than we have. Looks very safe and a bit of class.

He's a bit on the small side tho. Broadbent and Whitton are playing well in the backs at the moment.

Broadbent in particular looks a classy player and runs very intelligent lines.

He does, he's not got Newman's speed but is a very intelligent player.

Newman, Broadbent and Burton are nice options for the future.

Does anyone have news on the injury with Lewis Delaney by the way?

Broadbents on duel reg with Fev this week, looking forward to seeing how he goes. Think he's a fantastic young , right up there with Newman in terms of potential imo.

Broadbent is the better centre but Harry is the better athlete.

Wonder why Corey Johnson never gets loaned or dual reg'd out.

Have to say Rob Burrow is having to deal with a lot of changes every week but the team so far has kept rolling on.

Not seen anything from Mclelland yet this year to show he's ready for the first team unfortunately.

Bit of a disjointed performance at times with a number of changes made but doing enough to dig in and win. Very impressed with Loui McConnell doing 80 minutes and leading the pack with great work rate, MoM for me.

Loui McConnell by far Leeds best today. Thought it was a very poor performance from us, lots missing and a pretyy young team though. Lewis Carr for Cas impresses me every time i see him and Joe Summers was very good for them.

Agree re Cas players.

Too many errors from our boys really; the side has been chopped and changed a lot this year and it showed. The lads won’t develop from running 60 point margins each week though so probably correct to rotate and include some first years.

McLelland is pretty strong in D which I like, but yes I’m not sure he’s quite ready for first team.

Yes but let’s be honest, Newman, Sutcliffe, Ablett, and Handley, would probably be picked there before anyway.

On the game though, first game for Harry Anderson. I did say a few years ago on here to watch out for him, got a lot of ability if they develop him right.

Yes I thought he looked quite good. Bit of a switch off for Cas last try. Be interesting to see whether he does enough through this year to become the partner to McLelland in the bigger games.

To be honest all things considering I thought it was a good game. Lots of players out of position but getting the win is the most important. Thought Walters once again shone up, Anderson was very good. Hopefully Dupree isn’t too bad as I’d have had him in first team next week with the injuries sustained Thursday and other previous ones.

Sam Walters looks a very shrewd signing. Don't know what we paid but he's got real potential. He's needs a big off season to put some weight on but that shouldn't be an issue.

I thought it was a decent game by two pretty evenly matched sides who both fielded a number of year 1s.
From a Cas point of view I thought Walters was always a threat,Mcclelland I thought was kept quiet by his former team mate who got the better of him overall. Harry Anderson had a great debut and took his tries well. The outstanding year 1 on the pitch was Nathen Carter who many a good judge rated him as the best player from the impressive kippax team that included the Burton brothers.

Obviously Leeds have far more depth to there squad than Cas but only so many can come through at once and the fear always is some will miss out long term especially under the current transfer rules

Why I'm watching dross like Donaldson and JJB etc in 1st team when we've a lad like Muizz waiting for a chance I've no idea. He was absolutely outstanding today.
