The only player I wouldn't have renewed is T Briscoe, Donaldson I think earned his new deal.,hes not the best but gives100% every game. Thompson can play second row and prop so it's probably a good thing he signed as there wasn't many props out there to bring in. Who else shouldn't we have retained in the last 2 years?

Well Bateman and Williama had clauses to give Wigan firs dibs....

Salford and Leeds had agreed a fee but it was Hastings NRL clause that ended that deal.

Because he's a great player, miles better than Lui. Wigan took the same risk and will have got a good 2 years outta him.....
He's actually pretty loyal and would only leave at end of a season too...

The only thing that stopped the Hastings deal was Hastings himself. Twice he met Leeds the 2nd time he called Leeds to say he was signing, turned up had the contract in front of him and asked for a couple more days to consider it.

Sir Kev told me. He told Hastings to sign the contract and it would be put in the safe until Hastings confirmed he was ready to announce it. He never signed it and he signed with Wigan a couple of days later.

I suspect on the way to the 2nd meeting Wigan offered him a better deal.

Well that clears it up then. Glad we didn't pull out and take the cheap opttion with Lui....

makes me wonder why a club official would share such a thing? why someone would share it on here ? why do these officials keep doing such things and he's probably glad he didn't sign for a club his business is divulged to the public
