Seriously, it will be great to mix it with the Rhinos again, and for our youngsters to get the chance to play against Sinfield, Burrow, McGuire, Hall etc. again.

The games in Six weeks time,so your old fellas will be knackered by then,Hardaker and the big lad on the wing are decent,will give you that.

As for the rest of the draw,

Warrington and Widnes will go through, Widnes might have a cheeky chance of a final if they draw Wire in the semis IMO.

As for Wigan and Castleford, if played now would be a very good tight contest, much depends on how well Cas are still performing when the game finally comes around. That along with home advantage means probably a Wigan win (but likewise their trip to Oz might finally start taking a toil on them by then).

I could have adjusted the stats to take into account the much reduced chances of drawing non-SL rabble opposition in Round 5 and the Quarter Finals on the basis that most of them have already been knocked out of the competition. But I didn't, hence the earlier "7 times out of 26" stat.

My personal opinion is the only luck worth hoping for is getting a home draw and in that particular department, Leeds have done extremely well over the past decade in securing a home draw 18 times out of a possible 26. Only a moron would declare such a record as "unlucky" or lacking context and there are plenty of morons among Rhinos fans on this forum.

Note you highlighted Hardaker's tweet. Note that before today's draw that in HIS TIME at the club Leeds had a 5 Home/5 Away draw record with only 1 non SL club before the QF stages.

With all due respect, not every club has a record of securing 18 home draws out of the last 26 therefore any "unlucky" claims are probably based upon a smidgen of rationality.

No they haven't. They've whinged, whined and moaned after every CC draw about how long it's been since Leeds drew non-SL opposition, how unlucky Leeds are and how unfair it all is.

I might have had some sympathy for that viewpoint had it not been for the staggering 18 out of 26 home draws stat. Claiming CC draws against whipping boy SL rabble (majority drawn at home) as bad luck or injustice on a monumental scale is truly moronic.
