Ellis would have been a "nice to have" but not a necessity, we have plenty of talent in the back row and plenty coming through the academy so I'm not overly bothered that we've missed out on his signature.

He'll be a good signing for the Eastern Interbreds and they should get 2 or 3 good years out of him providing his age doesn't catch up with him too much.

I am actually pleased that such an under acheiving SL giant club in Hull FC could tempt such a quality world class player to their club and credit to them too as they have a player that could probably get into any club or International side in the world

But for all the FC fan's gloating about his signing and on here too..Why?

We were fortunate enough to have had Gaz at our club for four seasons and he was a fantastic ambassador for our club during his time here and he left with our best wishes when he signed for the Wests Tigers

Feel free to come back when he's eventually woke your lot up and actually let you know that there's now a SL Grand final to be won and on the back of that you can actually represent your country in a World Club Challenge
