I managed to get a live stream working for the last 15 minutes. Catalans were the ones that looked out on their feet at the end. With a weakened squad, the heat, and Wembley next week there's a lot to be positive about there.

Jimmy maybe in with an outside chance of playing next weekend, defensively very strong! Earned a couple of penalties, one from a chip over! Scored a try and put Hall in!

Credit for not giving up at 18-0 down and shows how wrong those people are who claim Leeds don't want to finish in the top 4 by not giving up. The start was poor but hopefully can be used to remind the players that they can't afford to do that next week. If we can take Warrington to half-time around about level on the score board then i'm confident we can pull it off.

As for Keinhorst, as good as he played still can't see him making the 17 if everbody comes through without injury and Griffin and Burrow to return. If Bailey misses out after being put on report he might start centre with Ablett to Loose.

Catalans were also playing with a weakened side.

They were missing one specialist prop, because Lopini Paea, Mickael Simon and Julien Bousquet were all unavailable because injured.
Also the legendary backrower Steve Menzies was out injured.

These missing players would have made a difference in attack and defence.

Great attacking effort from the lads who were without 2 of our key strikers and playmakers. Also credit to the coaches who really got the players to go for this one despite Wembley next week.

My so called live feed kept breaking down somewhere over the Cairngorms so didn´t see enough to form a balanced opinion. But it did look as though we could have won had we not knocked on as much as we did and Ward came through some early heavy hits to star.

Despite not winning this performance will put us in the right mood for Wembley where IMO we have to take the game to the Wires from the whistle as we did against Wigan. They obviously are firm favourites but they will have some doubts lurking at the back of some minds after last year and last night. Our game plan should not allow Briers any time and space and our forwards have to front up and don't allow theirs to get a roll on then we can apply the mental pressure.

We must prevent their momentum early doors and build our own. It will be difficult without McGuire but given an even roll of the official dice it can be done.

2 seasons ago. We actually have a decent record against them.

Yet another tremendous regular season effort by the Leeds Rhinos in keeping with their exemplary season-long fight for a Top 4 spot on the SL ladder. Such has been the will and determination to produce regular season performances and results to match, they've managed to win the same amount of games as the Bradford Bulls. Yep, that's how convincing they've been all season and they've certainly convinced me.

It is to be hoped that the fans recognise this new and refreshing approach by the club towards regular season fixtures as they continue to mount their determined collective challenge for that valued Top 4 spot recognition.

When are next year's season tickets on sale?

Leeds determination to take the regular season games more seriously by finishing in the Top 4 has witnessed a far more determined effort than even I initially thought, in comparison to the efforts of a whipping boy SL rabble club like Bradford.

I miss your table of the top five, you know, that one that magically disapeared when we got to Old Trafford and won, not that you would accept that as anything meaningful of course...

The late rally by Leeds may have not been enough to secure the league points but it levels it up more or less on the points difference table. So 4th is still on.

But we may need a miracle for Cas to turn up at home and keep it a contest, obviously not a win.

There is no need as it's already been established that this Leeds team consistently extract the urine out of their obsequious band of season ticket holders by not taking very many of the regular season fixtures as seriously as they should, or trying as hard as they could.

I'm pretty sure that Leeds are yet again placed 5th and last on the Real Super League Ladder which involves all regular season fixtures between Wigan, Warrington, St Helens, Catalan and Leeds this year.
