In his last outing he made 36 tackles and missed none. Dropped for 'under-performing'. I hope Mac after last few weeks will be consistent and drop most of our half-d first teamers. Why not?

He has to come back in. If he's been dropped due to his form levels, fair enough. But I could list at least 6 that could be justified with the same treatment.

And I was pointing out that it's a very small factor in whether he should be considered as 'under-performing' or not.

Bailey is one of those players who is like Marmite. I love him being on our team, but that doesn't mean I don't get frustrated with him at times for not playing to his potential. If he did play to his potential most weeks, we'd have a cracking prop and England would have a real viable option too.

Nah......Bailey is a useful squad member from the bench for his tackling, quick POB and niggle-factor, but he will never make a [itop class[/i prop. He's got no go forward to bend a defensive line.

He has found another use this season: as a starting back up [ithird prop[/i - playing LF, but as a starting 8 or 10 he leaves a bit to be desired and is not the answer to Peacock or Kylie's retirement.... IMHO of course.



Now Singleton...or Daniel Smith....that's another story.

Now I'm all for bringing through young talent. However, until you see them playing regular open age rugby of a decent standard you can't tell how good a player is going to be. Some never adapt, some never kick on from youngsters with potential. Good solid clubman as Bailey has been, I wouldn't say he's fulfilled the potential he showed 10+ years ago

Never got to see him play 1st grade at Leeds and now it appears we probably never will.

And yet still they'll be some who say he's completely useless and no good because they refuse to see his better side. Probably the moment that won the game for us. He also pulled off a great charge down that led to the 1st try.
