I completely disagree with you on that.

If you wrote the story down it sounds very cliched, but Rourke's performance, and the excellent direction, more than make up for it.

The way its filmed makes you feel like a fly on the wall and thats what makes it so good

Watched a film last night called "1 missed call".

It was about a woman who's mates all start dying after they recieve a missed call and a voicemail dated a couple of days in the future and they hear how there gonna die. Then they start seeing all these evil spirits and that and weird stuff for a couple of days until the time there death on the voicemail comes and they die.

It then happens to her then she goes on a race against time trying to find out why this is happening and the history behind it all while not seeming to care her death is round the corner.

It was alright I suppose but theres a few films out that are similar. Only came out last year

Watched Slumdog Millionaire last night, and admittedly it is good. I have seen reviews comparing it to 'Shawshank Redemption' in that both films leave the viewer with a 'feelgood' factor.

Slumdog doesn't, IMO, come close to Shawshank in that respect.

Went to see Seven Pounds on Sunday.

Worst film I have ever seen in the flicks. Ever. And I went to see Saw 5, Cloverfield and Jurassic Park 3.

So bad. I was falling asleep after the first half hour I was that bored. Our lass threw popcorn at me to wake me up. Cause she paid. If I'd have paid she would have left me to kip all the way through it. Even if it was a film that I'd waited years to see.

It just made me laugh at the end. At how Pathetic Will Smith is getting. He better not make another one of these movies. Persuit of Happyness was fantastic. And it was actually moving. Seven Pounds was tripe.

I'd rather fill a bath with ice and let a box jellyfish sting me to death than watch it again.

Has anyone seen "The Strangers"?

Saw it the other night. You could tell it was inspired by the Manson killings but changed around to make there more suspense and jumps for the audience. You can tell they didn't want to show the killers so they could leave it open for a sequel. Thought it was good but not as good as I thought it would be!
