Serious question here and not having a go (for once)! How many of our acclaimed youth signings over the last 2 or 3 years have made it in the first team? We were all in awe of the likes of Geldhart, Perkins, Greenwood, Cresswell, Gyabi and I`m sure there`s more. Yet none of those above have progressed with only Archie Gray who has now left and possibly Charlie Crew who should make it along with Joseph maybe. Have I missed others? And are these players we sign not getting coached properly?

Our academy system has been underperforming for years. It's only just getting back to anything like with the Niners putting good money in and good coaches but it will take time. Previous successive owners ran it into the ground.. one of my best mates, his lad is at Man U academy (He's 12, just signed for another 2 years and been with them since age eight) was telling me when his lad went to Man U he had the pick of loads of clubs and Leeds was one of them but the academy was really badly run (he's a big Leeds fan too so it was a horrible decision to make) so he chose Manchester to give his lad best coaching and set up etc.. he says Leeds have been well behind the big clubs in England for a long time.

Interesting that Trebor and hopefully things will start to improve. It does seem a shame that those I mentioned and I`m sure there`s others were all deemed the next best thing.

6 year olds being at professional clubs shouldn't be a thing.

isn't davis injured? and given spurs are decimated by Injuries to centre backs I'd be suprised if he was released. inheacho would be a very good signing imo

yes both dropped points. you don't get anywhere without a good keeper. I'm a bit suprised at farke if I'm honest. he needs to be ruthless. that was bielsas downfall too. in that respect wilko was miles ahead of both

It's so obvious even a new mediocre GK improves this team more than any other signing we could make. Honestly, we've never properly replaced Rob Green!

Neil Sullivan was also OK, but apart from those, the rest have been dreadful. We let Ella Caprile go a couple of years ago, and now he's starting in Serie A and considered one of the best young keepers in Europe. He'd probably be our number one now if we'd have kept him.

I said on here before the season kicked off I'd have gone for the Icelandic lad who went from Rotherham to stoke for £1m. his stats are among the best at this level.

Trafford was excellent last night and like the Burnley defender said that he has no worries if he makes a mistake with a goalkeeper like him behind him to clean up the mistake. I only watched the second half but Sunderland looked good and should/could have scored 4 goals in that second half. Fe is a cracking signing for them.

We`re 2 up and get a player sent off to make it hard for us to win the game only to come back with 10 men and win it. Had we not had a player sent off we would have won the easy way is what I meant.

Interesting to read that Sheff United are looking to strengthen even further by trying to get Oxlade Chamberlain and Brereton Diaz in along with Tom Cannon for 13 million. Whilst the likes of OC might be past his best he will certainly bring some experience to the team something I do think we lack.
