Only just checked the Bailey thread on the Wolves board.

Well it is Bailey's fault for always going after the smallest players. Its a long list of fellas, firstly there's Chris Riley, there's also......erm......erm......erm......ermmmm?

Bailey has a very good talent of winding up the opposition beyond belief.
There are all sorts of urban legends about him beating up youth players and bullying youngsters. And the myth he wanders round the pitch looking for the youngsters to smash. I remember him putting Morley on his backside a few years ago.

I seem to remember Westwood going after Sam Tomkins but don't recall any indignation from Wire fans about it. I believe the bog-eyed goon was even lauded for his actions. Imagine if TMFMISL had done that? I think G1 has touched a nerve!

Someone ought to print out a book full of all the Bailey threads around these boards to use as his Testimonial publication. Just put a picture of him holding his Grand Final winners rings on the front. Sums up his career in a nutshell.

The sport needs more characters like Ryan Bailey.

People who play the game the way it's meant to be played, but off the field put their time back into the community and being a dedicated family man.

TBH there's always been perceived bad boys. Could you imagine what these boards would have been like if they were around in the 70's /80's with the Sorensens and Tamati's around, god I hated them and they were just the tip of the iceberg, eben backs like Eric Hughes had bad reps. Computers would have been crashing everywhere.

The YEP Cup final pull out from last night had Griffin talking about each of this team mates and how shocked he was abouit TMFMISL and how different he is on & off the field and how he is one of the nicest guys you can meet

Everytime someone comes out with anti-Bailey rhetoric i just think of Sonny Nickle.

I'd probably like to see Bailey do more when winding-up opposition players - Barrie McDermott style - but McDermott had a pretty poor disciplinary record, some of it merited. Those days are now long gone and it would be counter-productive not to hide behind Burrow and let wee Robbie take the rap.

Bailey's over the top gestures towards the crowd during a game just leave me cold irrespective of who they are directed towards.
