Graham and Ellis,Aus Clubs were going to be taking a much bigger interest in Forwards from the British game.Wouldnt surprise me if they do have scouts over trying to spot the best young ones before they have to pay to dollar down the line.

Have to agree with Maximillion regarding defensive errors, maybe a lack of communication and experience playing with the new guys but also what looked like an umbrella style defensive (whilst dropping the winger) was also going to expose the edges and they did this particularly well down our right. Yes Keinhorst looked poor in defence but difficult to say that it was all his fault. Also over heard some guys (possibly friends or family)saying that he has had a stomach bug the past few days and not eaten properly (losing half a stone) which would explain the apparent lack of pace and fitness. Not heard anything about Baldwinson though.

Yes I saw this and the good point was that he was not too critical of the younger players regarding some obvious defensive lapses and he was looking to bring that rogether over the next few performances, so hopefully we will see some consistency. Just watching the recording. The fault for the first try lies with McShane Singleton and Peacock, three players I had as our better players. As Clarke goes left Kirke follows him and his stepped by Ah Van as he runs the drop off. McShane has been lazy moving right which means hes late on Ah Van. However Peacoxk and Singleton didn't move right at all leaving the gap Mellor hit.

The second Widnes try was all about Kirkes sloppy offload in a collision he lost. I am not even sure he was trying an offload. Just got battered one on one in collision

Third try was all on Kikrke.. In retrospect I may well have gone easy on the Big Friendly Giant. Bet he keeps his place next week.

Come on now. I'm no Kirke lover but that was a pass that should never have been given to him. As soon as he caught he he was smashed!

Don't know why Kirke gets slated so much. He's not going to make the list of best props in the league but he does and job and I agree with McDermott (for a change) that he played well.

He ran it in hard and put some good shots on in defence. He had every right to make the offload or their second try. In the attacking zone with defenders sucked in and Robbie on the loop. In most instances, even if Widnes did get the ball they'd have been tackled.

But every tackle he misses is talked about, every dropped offload. Give the guy a break.

I am not a Kirke basher, but you would have to have been asleep or seriously insane to say that kirke had even an half decent game on Monday. He was utter garbage.
