| Quote ="rugbyleague88"Surely this clenched fist chat is irrelevant as there was no clenched fist. The fact of the matter is that it was a direct shot to the head. You cannot do that nowadays.
Winning two games out of 18 with Kendall in charge is of concern. We clearly cannot play to a style that suits his officiating.'"
I think it’s 2 wins out of 11, a win rate of 18%. I was not there on Saturday and have not seen the game. So I’m not saying this based on the wire game but what I saw last year, but I think Kendall may have a bias against Leeds. I don’t believe he is doing it on purpose and if it’s there is an unconscious bias.
It may just be we are getting on the wrong end of incompetence and in time the luck will change, however it’s pushing against the law of averages at the moment for mine.

| I'm struggling to understand how they've deemed that Dwyer's sin binned tackle is worthy of further punishment, but Currie knocking Fusitua out isn't.
That it was accidental is surely neither here nor there - Dwyer didn't mean to tackle late but he got ten minutes and now a match ban. Fact is that Currie hit Fusitua in the head with his shoulder - that's his fault as it's his shoulder and his responsibility to make sure he doesn't knock people out. As a result we lost our winger for the second half and the next match, we didn't even get a penalty and Currie is free to carry on.
They're either serious about player welfare or they're not. This sends out the message that they're not particularly.

| It was 2 wins out of 11 from 2020 onwards. In 2019 he allegedly refereed us 7 times and we lost all 7.
I think we have clearly upset him and now do not get any 50:50 calls. I'm sure we had similar when we publicly criticised Silverwood following the final with Bulls. I don't think Kendall goes out to intentionally penalise Leeds but subconsciously, I think there is an issue.
Leeds just have to learn to be extra clean when playing with Kendall and hopefully in time, he will think higher of Leeds and give us a fairer share of calls.

| Kendall is a big Hudds Town fan and when they were in the premiership and Leeds Utd in Div 1 he had regular digs with his petty Marchings gone forever social media posts. So while a different sport he prob thinks very little of us either.

Embarrassing article from Peter Smith IMO'"
Seems pretty correct to me. Clearly Kendell is biased, he deliberately choose to ignore forward passes hand in touch knock ones. Head high shoulders. He should nit he anywhere bear a super league game, time the club took action around this, and disciplinary are putting people of going to games. It has me.

| Dwyer the only one on a charge A to get a ban whilst all others got no bans.
Holmes charge B and got 1 game same as Dwyer and Currie nothing even though Fusitua has suffered concussion.
Bentley on the other hand is lucky imo.

1 match ban.
Players have got to get it into their heads these are the rules.
Bentley and Dylan Napa belong to Rugby League from 25 years ago when there was room for being an enforcer followed by a bit of biff. Even then I’d like to see them mix it with Morley, Farrell, Sculthorpe and co. Only 1 winner I think.

Curries tackle is ball and all.
Fusitua has his feet planted facing an onrushing defence. The kick hangs in the air. What do you expect Currie to do, pull out.
Fusitua needs to get in the air and force an illegal tackle. Currie then either pulls out or gets red carded.
The difference is this incident happens with the players facing each other, tensed expecting collision.
The Dwyer incident he hits from behind with Widdop not expecting it. He’s got to wrap his arms around like Currie.
I agree both tackles can cause the same injury, but they are the rules.
I’ll put it another way round is Fusitua makes the same tackle on Currie, this board thinks what a great tackle.

Fair explanation.
Not sure Fusitua was that tensed expecting the collision and Dwyers was a split second out.
Widdop holds that pass a split second longer and it`s a fair tackle.
All ifs buts and maybes I suppose.

| There's no ownership on fus to do anything. You make shoulder contact with the head regardless of mitigation and there's a consequence.

I agree there’s no ownership on Fusitua to do anything but then he’s got to expect collision. Currie hits him with everything but his arms are wrapped around him. It’s not a blatant shoulder charge. This leads to grade A (careless) rather than Grade D (blatant- Napa)

| Does that not carry a ban then? Yeah expect collision around his body. Surely there's due care on the tackler to not hit his heat with anything.

Last comment on this.
If your arms make contact between midriff and chest where do you expect the shoulder to be. Not around the players ankles, but between neck and chin.
He got careless verdict Grade A with no matches.
The panel are warning him to go lower or next time expect ban for same grade.
They state it as high contact with no malice.

| Get your angles right and I'd expect the shoulder to make contact in the same area ie not the neck or head. Though knocked out and missing a game through concussion I'd be interested to know if the degree of injury sustained would alter the decision on a potential sending off/ban ie a broken jaw from the careless contact. Doesnt make sense to me you're either culpable or you're not.

I don’t think it would but don’t quote me.
Dwyer would of got the same ban if Widdop suffered concussion and missed a match. It’s classed as soft contact but still dangerous because his arms don’t wrap round Widdop and he doesn’t see it coming. Would you expect Dwyer to get 4 matches if Widdop say had fell over from his soft contact and broke his arm. It’s all hindsight.

| As difficult as it is because RL is a high paced, high impact and instinct and reactionary related sport but the defender has to have a duty of care and is responsible for the attackers safety.
I genuinely dont think Currie meant to hurt Fusitua i think he meant to wrap him up but his shoulder contacted his head and he is responsible for that.
He shouldve been punished for that i believe.

| Curries tackle was just a brutal , but brilliant tackle.
Bentleys tackle should just have been a penalty.
Nothing in Dwyers! Games are getting ruined by over zealous rules…..
