Come on Gotcha. You're not that daft. You know full well the RFL employee 6 full time refs. The rest are part time. Quite obviously the full time refs are going to generally ref the SL games.

So he is one of 6 refs who are going to ref SL games. That situation applies to all of the full time refs, not just James Child.

So stop deliberately trying to twist the argument away from your and Printers allegations that James Child only gets big games because he's gay.

Although now you've extended it to he's only a full time ref because he's gay.

I think if you go back, and look at every one of my posts, they have said the same thing. I have said nothing about big games based on Child. I have continually said he is consistently incompetent, far too many matches per year. The worst of the refs in Super League. Why is he still a full time ref? that is what I have said throughout this thread.

Your argument is that there is only six full time refs. But there is still another six behind that waiting for the opportunity. After six years of consistent incompetence when does it change for Child?

You would have a very valid point if Child had only gone bad this year, and it is reviewed at end of the season. But that isn't the case is it? So what do these other six refs have to do for them to replace Child, considering Child's performance in his role? Because lets be honest here, despite the rantings, nobody has come on and said Child deserves to be a Super League ref. So how does he keep that role?

Just to point out that Child isn't full time. He works full time for Leeds City Council as a surveyor IIRC.

I'm trying to point out that there are far more reasonable reasons why those referees are not promoted ahead of Child besides what he does with his willy.

For instance one of them is suspended pending a pretty serious charge.

For instance one of them has been severely criticised in performance in the few games he has reffed at SL level.

For instance most of them are relatively young and inexperienced and their development would be harmed by promoting them too early.

All of those are reasonable, rational and logical conclusion. And not one of the have anything to do with the referees sexuality.

But those aren't your conclusions are they. In you addled mind, it is less outlandish to state that James Child is still an SL referee because he is gay than it is to say James Child is still an SL referee because he is one of very few that we have even with SL experience.

You haven't pointed out anything. Throughout this thread all you have done is shout your mouth off of inaccuracies.

For instance, the lad who is suspended for an "alledged" offence was done two weeks ago. It isn't only the last two weeks Child has been cr@p.

You point out one match where a losing coach criticized him, and see that as some form of defence. Yet you ignore six years of Child incompetence, many moans from coaches, and many moans from fans.

Like I said previously, unless you are posting something form the pages of a textbook, you are unable to put an argument together. You are just a blinkered bigot without foundation.

Most do have another job. Rob hicks is a solicitor in think. There are three referee lists. Full time and cadet do SL with full time doing more. Whilst part time ones do part time games.

I did win the battle with you. You were not very much competition. That's the difference between real world and text book repeating. When someone believes in something they usually manage to represent it very well, but for people like you it is just a shout to arms rather than something you believe in, so you struggle to understand properly.

I however am still trying to highlight to the majority on here who have much more sense than you portray, and can actually give some reasoning for their arguments against what is being discussed. On that basis, I can respect their opinion but still try to show the point.

Good luck to James Child and his reffing this week, even if this weekends appointments do further prove the point raised, after yet another poor showing. However, if the RFL can just ramp up that unequal effort in order to achieve equality, that they so proudly claim, and somehow get Mr Child to a level of the other refs he is working with, then I truely do wish him all the best, and hope it can be achieved.

Getting bored of this - starting to go round in circles. Child gets games because there is such a dearth of alternatives there is little alternative choice. If there were 10 full time SL refs, he would likely ref less. There isn't however, so he doesn't. See also 'Silverwood' and 'Bentham' for similar answers on why they still get games.

Does Bentham get games as he is bald? Does Silverwood get them because he is from Cas-way (so I understand)?
