He's not been great but far from dreadful.Who would you select at centre?

I rate Smith good hands carries the ball up well.He has to sort out the silly penalties but generally is around the top tackler each week.

AP's best moments were on the Saints forum, around the time of the Cunningham doping scandal.

I miss some of the classic debates, but then again many of them turned sour and reptitive. Is Peacock a prop? Who is better Diskin, or Buderus? Remember when the biggest scandal was the weekly performance stats of Ian Kirke? If only we knew what was coming a few years down the line...

Agreed I have been posting on here since it was on Rivals - its a different forum to what it was in those days when people like Danny, Puig, Gareth, AP etc used to post - pretty lively then!! Also there used to be a number of girls used to post also.

Can i ask, when you started reading it did you expect to understand any of it? If so thats your own fault.

Started reading with an open mind and no expectations ...... finished reading with a heavy heart. I just hope he is more specific when he is trying to get his message across to players!

I'm not a great one for speaking in metaphors and analogies, but surely we're not saying that we're really that slow we can't understand the meaning.

We can but when we have to listen to his voice too, the combination is too much,…..

..... but the point of a metaphor or analogy is to bring clarity or better explain something.

Nothing JJB said did that. He is either not very good at it and should stop, or he is doing it to avoid saying what the real issues are in plain English.

Hopefully JJB positivity will lift the players. Agar sometimes came across a bit one tone so the complete opposite might have a short term impact. Maybe not the worse thing for some of the senior players to take some leadership responsibility within the group. The important thing even if we start to win a few is that this is a short term fix and we get the right appointment even if it is for next season.
