This event quite clearly replaces any homecoming that we would have if we win. If Leeds didn't have one are you seriously suggesting people wouldn't complain about it? Seriously?

As for a hissy-fit I was responding to the plethora of miserable s who are happy to join in these things but only if it doesn't cost them anything. And of course those who take the mick out of such things for no reason.

It's obviously bigger than a regular homecoming but just because you've had something free in the past doesn't mean you should continue to. A homecoming of any sort has costs associated with it.

parade at headingley with no 2 hour build up , open top bus to arena to meet their celebrity fans.

and the family of 4 have probably spent minimum £100.00 on the saturday .

One is a hastily announced event which goes against traditional welcome home parties which the club have previously announced

It doesn't matter what the event is. You were complaining about the price and that it should be free. You want to attend an event for free and called it a con that a small charge for admission be levied.

Who really want to go to Headingley for a possible homecoming that would be a rewind of the one we had barely 6 weeks ago? Okay they'd be carrying an extra two pieces of metal onto the pitch but the events would be the same.

Well worth the money - I know this event wasn't billed as the 'Homecoming' but was by far the best fan/player event we've seen in recent years.

Glad you guys enjoyed it. We spent a great afternoon at the Danny Jones memorial match at Halifax. A fun affair that raised at least £25K. Loads of retired stars turned out, including Keith Senior, who arrived at half time and played the final 20 minutes, having just completed the Yorkshire marathon!

I'm genuinely pleased that the event in Halifax went well and raised a significant sum of money. I'd already booked tickets to the event in Leeds when I learned of it, otherwise I would have attended myself. Well done to the organisers and to everyone who contributed.

When i first read about this i wasn't going to go but when we got back from the GF r Kids Wife had got us tickets and i have to say it was a very good event and a really enjoyable couple of hours.

better than i thought ,and probably a better way for the retirees .
i like the pigeon detectives but not sure how appropriate they were , just songs to singalong to may have been better.

arena said they gifted the use but was production costs.

that seemed largely player highlights which clubs manage to put together.
