Players have had a few days off and IIRC only went back in for training today ahead of Sunday's game.

Barring any injuries, nobody should need resting providing they've used that time off wisely.

Going by twitter, it seems most of the players have spent their time off shaving



All for a great cause though.

Given that Eddie and Stevo have a hard enough time identifying players as it is, a sea of bald heads and clean-shaven chins is going to send them into meltdown.

Widnes rely heavily on home results and have a good record but We seem to have adapted to the fake pitch better than most other sides in recent years.

We have an abundance of pace and we like to keep the ball alive rather than going to ground. For those reasons I think we are perhaps better adapted to Widnes's pitch than some teams. I still think they're a tough prospect on their pitch though, and we should take nothing for granted.

It will be a close game, and the Leeds team suits our pitch with your speed.

Yes would go with that but maybe swap Kylie if fit for JP or Cuthbertson simply to keep them fresh for the following week.

I'm not convinced Delaney will be fit. I think Sir Kev will start at 13 and Kylie will be on the bench. He doesn't seem to like Walters this season.

McDermott said through week that Sinfield starts of doesn't play. I see him starting Sunday.

Tbf i think Walters just had bad timing. No reason to change the 17 at the beginning of the season when he was just missing out. Got injured just at the wrong time around Easter. Even McDermott said the other week that Walters would've featured by now had he not got injured. 2nd row is just a tough spot to get a game if everyone is fit with Ablett, Ward, Delaney and Achurch.

it's the now traditional custom dip in form it seems, hopefully this time we manage to play ourselves out of it, but unless we can regain our discipline with and without the ball it won't happen

Certainly missed his goal kicking. In a tight game Sutcliffe isn't a reliable enough goal kicker.

On the field too many senior players putting on dumb plays.

Jus caught result.agh well,not the first and wont be the last 'bigger side' to fall at Widnes this year.Obviously going through a bit of a dip but no team can play top level all year and we still have a 2 point cushion.

Clearly things to iron out but certainly no need for over reactions.Will be nice to get out 2 international wings back and our strike weapon back in the centre for a start.

Much of defence is about attitude. Some of this Leeds side don't seem to have much appetite for it when things get a bit tricky. Flat-track bullies? Alright throwing it around when there's space to play, but not prepared to do the grunt work to get into position. Signs were there in the second half of the Saints game when they tore us a new one for 20 minutes. Carried on in that vein, and it's hard to see what's going to change.

Good win for Widnes and certainly opens up the table once again.

I can only go by what I heard on the radio, but it sounded like we lacked in both on field leadership and discipline. Their last try sounded like a farce. We have dropped 5 out of 6 points in the last 3 games. Like others I a worried about a repeat of last years second half to the season. I would also like to know why Sinny can't get a game.
