There's one aspect of this request that everyone seems to have been ignored: It can't be too expensive.

If you and your friends aren't feeling flush then try out any of the Weatherspoon's in town because they have a curry menu which is reasonably priced. Unfortunately I don't think Morrsion's has a cafe in town but I once had an alright curry at the one in Kirkstall.

On the topic of madness me and my friends got a pizza plus some chips for under £6 in town today which was shared between the three of us. We must have looked like the tightest customers in the world. I'm sure some places wouldn't allow this and declare things a meal for one.

Sous Le nez - fantastic French restaurant 5 minutes from train station but you have to book in advance.

Only last weekend I was enjoying a £50 a head meal at a hotel in Bradford.

This afternoon I've just had a two course meal at the new T.G.I. Friday's based in Leeds Trinity.

You would be amazed at how far dole money can stretch these days..

The most tragic thing is that nobody will be surprised how well people can do on dole money.

My horizons were indeed broadened. I'm still recovering from the realisation that I'm of the appropriate age-group who belongs in that boozer.

Very good standard as always and true to my own cause I went for a fruity curry, a Kashmiri Chicken affair with lychees and plantains with a pashwari naan with raisins and nuts.

Its not a curry unless its got fruit in it - rule of life #43.


So full I was uncomfortable last night, so full that I am still stuffed this morning and a tad hungover after one and a half bottles of Cobra, such is the intolorance to alcohol these days, the days when I woudl drink beer laced with Brasso are far behind me...

The Tories wouldn’t dare make me the poster boy for why the welfare state is failing (and yes it is failing) because I’d be far too vocal about this governments failure to improve the welfare state.

I’ve had a lot of financial help whilst I’ve been on the dole but actual help to get a job has been pretty much non-existent from those who are paid to 'help' me. I could go into details but this thread is about food.

I had a lovely curry from Nawaab last night. One of the advantages of having mates who live in town is that I get to have the best takeaways ever

Oh by the way - The Cove fish and chips, Station Road Horsforth.

Just excellent, I strongly recommend them to the house.
