....as does Hall
The legend that is Hall and the legend that was Alan Smith both show pace is not the only attribute that justifies the claim to be a great winger. Nobody finishes or finished better than these two.
He looked a good assett to the squad, but it does pain me to see the likes of the home grown Chisholm being (probably) pushed even further down the pecking order for a wing spot. Another one perhaps to join the ranks of Broughton, Amor and probably Singleton.
The Leeds club does seem to be making a habit of finding good young uns to benefit the whole of the SL at its then own future expense.

Why would it pain you, he played better than Chisholm, surely you'd want the better of the two to get played. Whilst it's great to have academy products in the first team it's not vital that everybody is, and we still do as good a job as anyone in that department.
This is probably the exact reason why they announced it as a trial at first because it was predictable that some fans would get quite precious about an unheard Aussie getting ahead of an academy lad.

| I tend to agree with Nantwich re Hall`s pace.
I have seen no evidence yet to suggest Hall has the pace to burn someone on the outside.
Yes he is reasonably fast but is not in the pace to burn catergory IMO
You would normally see Hall coming inside when a pacy winger wold skin the fullback or opposition winger to score a try.

But like you said 'he is reasonably fast'......that'll do for a winger, especially if what he lacks in an extra yard in pace he more than makes up for in strength and showing a good intelligence of when to go for the line and when to cut inside. How often does BJB get taken into touch because he thought he could take his guy on for pace. Pace isn't that good if you don't know how to use it properly.

Amor is a Wigan Academy product that we signed from another professional club. You could make more of a claim that Vickery is a Leeds product than him.

I don't get it, you seem aware that you come out with some rubbish yet still
continue. Lots of Leeds juniors move on and do ok mainly as they have a greater number of 'quality' players entering then coming through the system, it would be impossible to keep them all. Who exactly would Broughton displace? Amor I'm not sure on yet but you can bet the Leeds coaching staff weighed up their needs/expectations against the players alongside future plans and made what they feel is the right call. Arguably they have the best record of any side in this regard. Also as has been mentioned a forwards development is somewhat different to a back, that being said I think it would be good to see singleton get a 3 month loan say then some game time at Leeds.

Don`t get me wrong I would not swap Hall for any other SL winger and I agree his strength is a major plus. Just wish he had more pace but you can`t have everything.

I think he does have pace. I just don't think he is elusive and evasive like a Scott Donald winger

No doubts at all but he's here now so do we support him or slate him??
Imo until performances show otherwise we should get behind the lad and see what transpires whilst he's here.

| Nice to know that some people remember my previous posts.
Here's more info to answer some of questions asked on this site. All assumptions of course, but I do allot of digging.
Singleton will probably go to Wakey - I doubt he has a choice.
BJB has an injury (cardio related) and is unfit, so I expect Vickery will take his place.
Keinhorst and Hood are off to Hunslet as are some others but I don't know who the others are.
