Graham we must agree to disagree - he was distinctly average at HQ in game one and I go back to my original point are any of the top sides wanting to sign him? If he was as good as you are saying one of them would be in for him.

| Not neccessarily. You'd expect the =#0000BFtop teams (Leeds and Hull will likely as not finish this season next to each other outside the top four) to have their squad places reasonably settled and they may not be looking to recuit in the prop position in any case.
Leeds' loss (if it happens) will be Wakefield/Hull's gain but it won't be the first or the last time Leeds' investment in a player will benefit another SL team.
Somebody mentioned Carvell earlier in the thread. IMO, he was a big lad but lazy when at Leeds, he only became a loss years after leaving.

I'll have to disagree David.
By game one do you mean the cup game? He was immense in his first stint in that game. Same in the league game more recently. IU have noticed a trend of his first sting being far more effective than his second stint.
But I've seen him play Leeds three times so far and a few times beyond that for Wakefield. He should certainly be part of Leeds first choice 4 prop rotation on form. easily, over the course of the year shown better form than Griffin, Kirke and probably Kylie and Bailey for that matter.
Not to mention his age. Peak years ahead for him. Aren't all Leeds props bar Bailey over 30?

| We should definitely have him back. Better than most of the props we have now!! He would be starting prop for leeds next year if i were in charge!
hardaker, BJB, Watkins, Ablett, Hall, Sinfield, McGuire, Amor, Burrow, JP, Delaney, JJB, Ward.....Hood/McShane/Lunt, Achurch, Bailey, Kylie. Would be my first choice 17 providing there were no other signings.

The way folks are talking he is the next Shane Webke? He had a good 20 minutes in the cup game but his second stint was innocuous same in the first game at HQ. Are folks wanting him back because he is so good or because our props are so bad?
There are a host of props in SL that are far better than him - Warrington have 5 for a start, Saints have 3, Wigan similar, Catalans the same - if we are to challenge the top sides on a regular basis we need a similar quality of player. Our recruitment should be comparatively based on the best not on what we have now.

Apparently Saints have made an 11th hour bid for Amor as a replacement for Josh Perry who is said to be heading home at the end of this season

Well of course we should....but the reality on the ground is that we haven't. So on the basis of the [i[uavailable[/u[/i options (or at least what [iwere[/i the options) Amor is surely a better attribute to complement the [i[uavailable[/u[/i registered players than the likes of Kirke...or Griffin...or just about any other prop we have based on an outlook greater than one bluddy year at the most if we're lucky.

| I'm not sure if Amor would of been the answer to our problems in the prop department because looking good for Wakey and helping Leeds to get from 4th/5th up towards the current top 2 is a big difference but i think it was worth trying as we must be starting to be comfortably under the salary cap especially if we lose 1 or 2 more in the likes of Hauraki and Moore.

| Amor will be a Hull player, they're payin double what Wakey are. If what I've been told is true I'm not surprised Leeds are letting him go. Is he worth 70-80k a year at this point in his career?

| I wonder if Saints are looking at Amor because the so called Walmsley deal has fallen through and Leeds have got him ? Lots of interesting goings on at the moment but it looks like Hull are about to become the next Warrington ! If they think hes worth 80k there welcome to him, a workman like player who has not been good enough to get in the Leeds 19 squad so how good is he ? he has potential and I like the kid but I thought the same about Pitts and look where he is !
I would like to keep him but if we could get rid of Moore and if we lost Amor (Moore to Wakefield Amor to Hull) I would be happy to get Taylor from HKR and Walmsley from Batley (Big potential and a gamble). I think Taylor is a massive prospect and just what the doctor ordered ! I think he could be another James Graham, Please Please Please sign him up Gary !! Still I think we are saving up for the southstand and Gary does not like spending money though.
Also a rumour I heard a few weeks ago was Hull wanted Amor and Leeds have a done a deal with them already along with the Pitts deal as part of a deal to bring in Tom Briscoe, all rumours though and a under 20s player going over to Hull.
Some how I can see Leeds going for Tom Briscoe unless the plan is to move Hall to centre which would be a mouth watering prospect.
Only time will tell. Any news on a new contract for Ryan Bailey and Daniel Smith ?

| TR-Bailey is already signed up fro 2013 no news though on D.Smith who imo deserves at least another 1 but i'd be happy to see him given 2/3yr deal then IF he isnt featuring for us at 1st team level a dual reg deal somewhere.

Its a done deal, Hull have offered him a lot more than Wakey, Wakey offered him a very good wage as well.

| Good stuff. Maybe we can have Walmsley at the club for 2013, loan him out to Wakefield for 2014 and 2015, then let them sell him to Hull once he's hit his stride.

He obviously has chosen Wakefield onn his duel contract you lot didnt invoke the clause but left it to Kyle (lovely message that by the way to decent bloke) Anyway it appears Hull want him but we want a big fee. I believe thats how the land lays.

If he goes to Saints I will walk naked across Headingley - rumours are not facts. He is not good enough for a top 3/4 side.
A golf analogy is the best way to put it - regarding slow play the maxim goes "You need to stay up with those in front not just in front of those behind".
Amor is a very average prop who would be little better than Moore, who, based on what he has done on the field, in my view has been badly treated by McDermott.
